Balam:

A Balam (ɓaa-LAAM) is a jaguar-like Wesen. Balams have been known to develop obsessive behavior, specifically when it comes to any harm done to members of the Balam's family. They are extremely daring creatures that tend to act first and think later.

Features:

When woged, Balam grow fur over their head and body, but like many Wesen, their hair is unaffected. They display distinct, stripe-like spots similar to those of a jaguar or a leopard. The color of their fur seems to change depending on the brightness of their surrounding. It appears purple in a dark environment and light grey with a hint of blue in brighter lighting. Like fellow Wesen (i.e. Blutbaden - below) they are able to concentrate their woge around their eyes, which turn amber and appear to glow. They also gain two sharp, jaguar-like fangs.

Bauerschwein:

A Bauerschwein (BOW-ur-shvine) is a pig-like Wesen. They are and have been enemies of Blutbaden (below) for centuries. Bauerschwein are known for being diligent and hard-working and are capable of interacting with humans in this manner. Unfortunately, Bauerschwein are not particularly strong Wesen, and as such, they are noted to be constant victims of the Blutbad.

Features: When woged, the face of a Bauerschwein is very much like a pigs, nose becoming a snout and ears also pig-like. The cheeks are usually prominent, as is the chin, and the eyes smaller under heavy brows. Like many Wesen, the facial and head hair of a Bauerschwein does not change when they woge. 

Relationship with Blutbaden:

The Blutbad-Bauerschwein feud goes back centuries, and the two races are so much embroiled in the feud that every incident where harm has come to the Bauerschwein from murders to suicides are blamed on Blutbaden. The feud is very one-sided, as Blutbaden kill Bauerschwein simply for entertainment, and only two Bauerschwein has currently been known  to fight back and kill a Blutbad.

Blutbad:

A Blutbad (BLOOT-baad - plural: Blutbaden) is a wolf-like Wesen. The light of a full moon also causes Blutbaden to woge, which is what probably inspired the werewolf fable.

Blutbaden are noted to lose any inhibition when they get into close proximity to one of their own, strongly hinting that they are motivated by pack mentality when giving in to their bestial natures. This may be why they tend to adopt solitary existences, as nearly all Blutbad seen so far have lived alone in their own territory, secluded from each other. However, this only seems to occur when there are no familiar ties with the Blutbaden in question. 

Blutbaden are also known to be quite vicious; it is not uncommon for them to kill humans or other Wesen and then eat them. But the race that they have the worst relationship with is the Bauerschwein, whom Blutbaden kill and terrorize simply for fun. Blutbaden also have bad relations with Seelengutter (see chapter Wesen: S) and consider them to be prey. They also seem to look down on Fuchsbau (see chapter Wesen: F), probably because they are a similar but weaker Wesen race compared to the Blutbaden. However, they are also very loyal to both friends and family, particularly the latter, and they almost never kill their own kind. Only the most corrupt and vengeful ones engage in such conduct. When word got out that Bauerschwein were poisoning Blutbaden, an entire pack of them immediately assembled downtown in an effort to get the perpetrator to confess. 

Like actual wolves, they mark their territory so that other Blutbaden don't trespass. This practice seems to be instinctive.   Blutbadens feed on humans and animals alike, but Weider Blutbaden a reformed and eat an pure Vegan diet. As we'll as the dietary changes, Weider Blutbaden attend a different church and steer clear of a violent life style.

Blutbaden also cannot abide the colour red.

Features:

Compared to many canine Wesen, their true forms retain much of their human features, and their woge seems to be different per individual. However, they all gain an increase of musculature around the lumbar areas, while leaving the lower portions vulnerable. They also gain burning red eyes, their fingernails extend into long curving claws, and their rows of teeth become pointed. Female Blutbaden tend to have much less facial hair and less pronounced facial features than their male counterparts, but in exchange, have more fierce-looking facial visages.
