Daughter Of Demeter

written by Jyra Conmomo

What happens when two magical worlds meet? A jaw-dropping, heart-stopping, wonderfully magical adventure of a lifetime of course! Meet famous wizard and witch Harry and Ginny Potter's three children as they vacation to the U.S. and (totally coincidentally) bump into Greek heroes Percy and Annabeth Jackson's own three children. They must go on a rigorous but wonderful quest together (which involves fighting monsters, obviously, and solving a certain spirit's mystery) when the youngest child of both families get kidnapped... or something. Told from the point of view of each of the six teens, discover what happens when Greek Mythology and the Wizarding World mingle, and follow Rebecca, Luke, Silena, Albus, Lily and James find their powers and fight their problems Inspired by JK Rowling's Harry Potter series and Rick Riordan's Percy Jackson and the Olympians and Heroes of Olympus series. (I don't own any of these characters, except the second-generation Heroes, like Luke, Rebecca, Silena, etc that I made, nor the magical places, like Hogwarts, Camp Half-Blood, etc.) Not recommended for readers who haven't read the full series of Harry Potter, Percy Jackson, and The Heroes of Olympus. Many thanks to Lila Le Fay for making the cover!

Chapter 1

Just if you're wondering...

P+A means that the character is Percy and Annabeth's child.

H+G means that the character is Harry and Ginny's child.

Also, this is my first fanfiction so I wouldn't mind reviews by owl or on my profile! :)

I hope you enjoy my story! :D

SILENA

(P+A)

"Rebecca Athena Jackson!  Come here right now!" I heard my father yell from downstairs.  Once again, my little sister had let her anger control her.

"Why did you make your school's sewage explode?" Percy Jackson continued.

"I told you, I didn't mean to, I just couldn't just let those brats get away with it again!" Becky had made another pitiful excuse.

"Can't you understand that reacting like that won't help?  Learn to control yourself!  Now go to your room right now and wait for your mother to come home." No matter how angry Percy could get, Annabeth's rage was always ten times worse.

Becky pounded up the stairs to her room which was next to mine and slammed the door as hard as she could.  A typical day in the Jackson's home.

Let me introduce myself.  My name is Silena Zoe Jackson and I'm the daughter of Percy and Annabeth Jackson, two of the most powerful Greek demigods of all time.  "Demigods?" You might ask.  Yes, demigods, half-bloods, half-human half-god, whatever you'd like to call them. So that also means I'm a half-blood too, a quarter of Athena blood descending from my mother's side and a quarter of Poseidon from my father's.

I have more of my grandmother's blessing than my grandfather's which I think is not cool, though Mom always tells me not to think that since Athena wouldn't be very happy about it if I said it aloud.  It's better than nothing, she always says.

But to me it just meant that I was excessively smart; I was only 16 and it was my first year out of college.  I had graduated from high school at 12 years old while my 8 year old twin siblings were just entering 3rd grade.

I stood up and gathered my bow, arrows and dagger as well as ambrosia and nectar for emergencies, opened my window and slid out without telling anyone.

My room is on the top level of our house but I had created a zip line perfect for escaping the annoying conflicts of my family whenever I needed to.  I had also created a rope ladder to climb back up the way I came and a pulley for bringing heavier things up and down.

As I came to the end of my zip line, I lightly hopped off and walked through the cobblestone streets of New Rome to my favorite forest, off limits to demigods who didn't want to get attacked.  But I was always searching for something to do, and battling monsters was a great way to occupy myself.

I came across a clearing where sat a large pond and at its edge, a curly, dark haired boy with tan skin and proud, strong chest.  It was Emile Marc Zhang, my best friend, son of Frank and Hazel Zhang, grandson of the Roman gods Pluto and Mars.

I was just about to call his name when I noticed that he wasn't alone.  A ghostly skeleton sat next to him, and Emile appeared to have something on his mind that was bothering him.  I flattened myself against the tree directly in front of me to hide myself, the rough bark pressing against my face and the wooden and leafy smells filling my nostrils.

"But what do I do, what do I say?  What if she doesn't love me back?" Emile mumbled sadly to his friend.

"How will you know if you don't ask?" The skeleton replied.

"There's no point, she's leaving tomorrow and I won't see her for the whole summer."

I was wondering who Emile could possibly have a crush on that was leaving for vacation the next day when it hit me.  My sister?  No, they never really liked each other.  Me?  No.  Impossible.  I was just his best friend since we were kids!  He couldn't.  It must be someone else.

But something told me deep down that what I suspected was true.

I was so upset that I ran all the way back home, up my rough, worn ladder, into my room without saying goodbye to my companion.

My family and I were leaving the next day to go to Camp Half-Blood as we did every summer so I finished packing my suitcase until my mother and sister's loud discussion seized and I smelled that it was obviously time for dinner.

I went down the stairs to find blonde-haired Becky already seated at the dinner table but obviously not in a good mood since her already dark grey eyes were storming.  Mom had made lasagna while Dad had made a failed attempt to help her by knocking over the cheese and putting it all over her and the lasagna she was making.  They had laughed about it and after all, I didn't mind an extra cheesy lasagna.

As we all sat down I noticed something was really missing.  My brother.
