'Ladies first' Draco said smirking. 'Thanks.' Hermione said as she walked into the large room. There was a large black couch and 2 red love seats in front of the fire. There was a door on the right of the fire. Beside the door was a large bookcase filled with books but with space that they could fill with their own as well. then there was another door adjacent to the portrait hole. The last door was on the right hand side and on one side was another large book case but this one was empty and on the other side of the door was a large desk with 2 seats. The walls were a dark purple. Hermione went to the door next to the fire. It was huge, it had a huge double bed in the middle a wardrobe on the far side beside the window and on the other side a set of drawers against the other wall was a desk. There was a door next to the desk. 'I think this is my room Draco said, see? Slytherin colours.' He said as he walked past her and put his stuff in the room. 'Oh yeah, I didn't really notice the colours. Sorry.' she said turning around and walking to the door in the middle. She pushed it open, inside was a large white and black bathroom. With a shower, sink, 2 cabinets, toilet, bath and a hot tub. It was magnificent. There was 2 more doors, one on either side, Hermione figured that they led into their rooms. She went to the door on the right hand side and opened it. Inside was a beautiful red and gold room, it was the exact same as Dracos room except a different colour. He appeared behind her. 'this looks like my room, just without all the green.' he said making Hermione jump, she didn't realize he was there. 'Sorry, didn't mean to scare you.' he said and with that he turned and went back into his own room. Hermione was shocked, had Draco Malfoy actually just apologized. She shook her head and walked into her room, it was huge.

Hermione walked over to her wardrobe where she found a note on the door.

This wardrobe has been enchanted to contain whatever you nee, you just think of a type  of clothing for example a dress and open the wardrobe and inside ill be a selection of dresses with matching accessories. It has also been enchanted so that the clothes will always fit the wearer perfectly. The theme colour can also be changed just think of the colour scheme that you would like and tap the bedding and the room will change. Enjoy the room.

Headmistress McGonagall.

Hermione tried out the wardrobe first, she thought of muggle clothes and opened the wardrobe and just as McGonagall had said it was full of muggle clothes. Hermione decided she would change her room colour, the first colour that came to her mind was a grey/blue colour. She pictured this colour in her head and tapped the bed sheets. The room looked a lot lighter this way, but Hermione thought it as too pale. She thought of a turquoise/blue/green colour, tapped the bed sheets and the room turned to a beautiful shade of teal.  Hermione decided she wanted to be more comfortably so she walked back over to her wardrobe and thought of night dresses. When she opened the wardrobe there was many different dresses, of many colours, fabrics and patterns. She selected a silk, teal one that came down to her mid thigh, it was very comfortable. Hermione picked up a pair off white slippers and a white dressing gown.

As she was getting changed the door opened. Draco walked in just as she pulled the night dress over the head and let it fall down over he body. 'Wow' Draco said staring at her. 'If you are done staring Malfoy, did you want something?' she asked blushing slightly and pulling on the dressing gown. 'What? Oh, yeah, right. Well I was just going to go down to the kitchens to get the elves to make some hot chocolate, do you want some?' he asked her shaking his head to bring him back to his senses. 'Yes please. But only if the elves want to make it. Don't make them do it.' she told him thinking about S.P.E.W 'You're not still on about that spew thing from our third year, are you?' he asked sighing. 'It's not spew it's S.P.E.W. Anyway how do you know about it?' she asked. 'Well you were wearing a badge that said spe.. I mean S.P.E.W on it and you were trying to recruit people. You were not discreet about it in any way. ' he told her. 'I didn't think you noticed. because you would have used that as a way to tease me. Back then not anymore' she added the end part when she saw his smile falter when she mentioned how he used to bully her. 'I'm really sorry about all of that you know that..' he started but Hermione cut him off. 'I know. You know what?' she said trying to change the subject quickly. 'What' he asked. 'I think I'll come down too.' she left the room. 'Wait.' he shouted. She stopped and turned around. 'Why?' she asked slightly confused. 'You're wearing a night dress' he stated. 'That's a great observation.' she said sarcastically. 'I mean that you are going to go walking about the castle in a night dress.' he said. 'Well yes, there shouldn't be anyone out of bed anyway it's after curfew w ca just send them to bed, we are head boy and girl. We are allowed to be out of bed after curfew.' she told him. 'Yes, but what if someone sees?' he asked. He seemed to be thinking about this a lot. 'Would you prefer for me to go and get changed?' she asked him. 'Well if you're comfortable then no. You don't have to. I just didn't think you were this sort of person.' he told her. 'Well I didn't use to be, but like you said earlier. The war changed people.' And with that she walked out of the portrait hole, leaving Draco standing in the common room alone. In a state of shock. 'Well, are you coming or not?' she asked sticking her head back in through the portrait hole. Draco nodded and followed her out the portrait hole. He had to admit it, he liked the new Hermione. A lot.
