'Gin!!!!' Hermione said as she saw one of her best friends, well more like a sister. 

'Mione, I missed you so much. I wish you hadn't left so soon. You would have loved it, but I understand why you left.' she said as she engulfed Hermione in a hug. 

'Gin I am sorry I left but I just couldn't ..' but Ginny cut her off

'Mione stop, Ron feels awful about the way he acted towards you, he wouldn't shut up about it the whole time we were there. He feels really guilty about it all and I know he ...'

'Gin stop, I know this! He just hurt me again, and I know you mean well but I want to hear it from him. Anyway I want to hear about everything that happened, and you can tell me whilst you help me and Drake plan a Halloween party for the 7th and 8th years' Hermione said in attempts to move on from the topic of Ron and it worked.

'Drake? Hmmm seems like you 2 have got close?' Ginny asked with a smirk and a wink. Hermione rolled her eyes.

'I suppose we have, but we're just friends... I think.' she muttered the last part to herself but Ginny being Ginny heard it

'You think! What happened while I was away!!! I want all the details' Ginny shouted, causing everyone around them to look at them. Hermione blushed and grabbed Ginny by the wrist and pulled her away from the great hall and into an empty classroom.

'Gin, Really there was no need to shout!' Hermione said with a sigh as she perched herself on a table.

'Sorry, I'm just surprised. Ginny told he as she sat down next to Hermione.

'Look Gin quite a lot has happened since the beginning of the year between Draco and I. I mean we are only friends, but he was there to comfort me when I got back that night, I was a wreck. I collapsed on the common room floor in tears, Draco heard me fall and came out, he picked me up and comforted me. H didn't ask me anything he just sat with me, he let me decide whether to tel him or not. I did and he was really sweet about it all. He really has changed, he's a really good guy now. I know that sounds cliche and pathetic but I don't know how else to put it.' She knew Ginny would understand what she meant, especially after everything that they had all went through.

'If you believe he's changed then I do too, I trust your judgement. But I do need to know one thing?' Ginny asked.

'What is it?' Hermione asked.

'Do you like him, you know more than a friend?' she moved away from her as she asked this unsure of how Hermione would take it.

'Honestly Gin, I have no idea I mean we get on really well and he's definitely hot. And we ..' She stopped herself before she said anymore, she didn't know if she should admit that she and Draco had shared some very passionate kisses.

'Yous what? .... Hermione Granger you did not?' Ginny gasped with wide eyes.

'Oh god. No Gin I didn't sleep with him.' Hermione said 'But we almost did.' Ginny gasped

'Define almost?' she asked eyes still wide

'Well, we erm .. we kinda kissed a few times over the course of the term. And erm one night we were in the common room and we kissed, and it got a little heated, and well I could tell he was turned on, I mean I wanted to, trust me I did. But not like that. I didn't want to be another one of Draco Malfoys conquests. But I know he's not like that anymore I just don't want it to happen like that' Hermione admitted. Ginny blinked a few times and just looked at Hermione in disbelief.

'You kissed Draco Malfoy? More than once?' she asked

'Well yeah.'

'Wow what was it like?' Ginny quizzed her.

'It was soft at first but they became a lot more passionate, I could tell he was holding back, he knows how I feel and he knows that I'm not ready and he accepts it.'  Ginny nodded she seemed lost for words.

'Where do you both sleep?' she asked, Hermione knew she already knew the answer so there was no point lying.

'Well we've fell asleep on the sofa together in the common room a few times. And well last night we kinda got a little bit drunk, well a lot a bit drunk actually. We ended up falling asleep in my bed after I asked him to stay with me.'

'Mione I think it's clear you like him, maybe you've not admitted it to yourself yet but to me it's pretty obvious that you 2 have a connection. You speak about him like you are already with him and by the sounds of it he likes you too, just you are both too scared to admit it.' Ginny said truthfully.

 Maybe she was right. Were they both just lying to themselves by ignoring their obvious feelings for each other. Hermione had finally come to terms with it. She has feelings for Draco Malfoy. She didn't know what to do about it, or if she was even going to do anything at all. But right now she just wanted to focus on planning the Halloween party so she took Ginny up to her common room so they could start planning.

She knew she couldn't ignore the feelings forever but right now she had more important things to do.
