Hermione's P.O.V

Hermione rushed down to breakfast and realised there wouldn't be anyone here fr her to sit with since all her friends were still on the island. She didn't regret leaving because she know her friends wouldn't have enjoyed themselves if her and Ron were arguing the full time, but at the same time she wished she hadn't.

She sat down at the Gryffindor table ate her breakfast quickly and went back to her common room, sh would rather be there alone rather than at the table in front of all those people alone. She didn't care what people thought about her being alone but she didn't want to see everyone sitting with their friends, knowing that she can't be with hers.

She gets to the portrait of Snape mumbles the password 'Doxie' and walks into the common room collapsing into the love seat closest to the fire. She closes her eyes and just lets the heat from the fire wash over her. She thought back to the previous night and smiled she could feel the heat rising to her cheeks, she shook her head what was she thinking. She summoned her book from the table and lay by the fire reading it.

Hermione lay by the fire completely absorbed in her book, sh could feel her eyes slowly closing but she wanted to finish her chapter. Slowly sleep consumed her and she fell asleep, the book falling from her hand and lading with a loud thump on the floor.

Draco's P.O.V

After his interesting meeting with Hermione this morning Draco was in an unusually good mood. Course this didn't last long as he had to go sit at the Slytherin table alone as usual.

Hermione didn't come down to breakfast until 20 minutes later with her hair in a top knot, which he had to admit she really suited, and a rather flustered look on her face.  Draco smirked at this as he knew exactly what the cause of this was.

He noticed that she too was sitting alone, he had forgot that all her friends were still away wherever they were last night. This reminded him of the state of Hermione when she got back during the night. Then he remembered about what had happened between them, it had felt so right, sure he had been with other girls, a lot, but he'd never felt this way about them. Maybe it was just because she was pure and innocent, he knew he couldn't treat Hermione the way he treated those other girls. This was different. He didn't know why but he knew it was. 
He got up from the table with a green apple in his hand, he took a bite and walked back to the common room. When he got there he noticed Hermione lying in the love seat beside the fire, book on the floor, she must have fallen asleep. She looked truly beautiful when she slept, she always look beautiful Draco thought. Why was he thinking these things, he had hated her for so long. But now that he had got over the stupid thoughts his father put in his head he didn't care about blood status, he finally saw her for who she is and she was beautiful, smart and innocent he could forget that.

He went into his room and just as he shut the door he heard a scream, then shouting. He rushed back into the common room to fund Hermione wriggling and moving about in her sleep, Draco ran to her side and started shaking her to wake her up. It took him a few minutes but she eventually woke up. Her face chalk white, tears in her eyes. She burst into tears, Draco didn't know what to do so he picked her up and carried her to the couch where he sat her on his lap.

Hermione buried her head into his chest, crying into him. Draco left her there wrapping his arms around her and holding her close to him. He wanted her to know she was safe and that whatever had happened in her dream was just that, a dream. She eventually stopped crying after a while but the two of them just sat there in silence cuddling, Draco didn't know what had caused this girl so much pain but he wanted to get rid of it she didn't deserve to have to go through that.
