Chapter 15 ~ Revelation.

Brandon's expression immediately changed into one of grim determination as Stefan fired a knock back jinx with a look of ultimate anger. Brandon himself stayed calm, deflecting the spell and sending it back at his opponent. So, he had chosen that way. Soon the boy would be wishing he had never set foot inside the castle, with his Natzi blood and bad reputation. He had scarred the beautiful pure-blood family of the Kaines. His Aunt should never have taken him in.

''Alright Stefan.'' Brandon said to himself. ''So you want to fight, do you? I'll give you a fight.''

Raising his wand, Brandon began to attack Stefan with a torrent of hexes, tripping him up, giving him horrific nosebleeds and causing bats to fly from the boys nostrils. These were just a few of them, but Stefan continued to hold shield and maintained the loo of ultimate fury that dawned upon his face. Stefan wasn't attacking though, the few disarming charms he had managed to slip in had been deflected.

Maxine watched with baited breath, delighted that Stefan was standing up for himself, but not as happy with the current situation. Brandon was still advancing, and Stefan still holding a shield position and getting in disarming spells that were quickly shielded by his opponent. Stefan could do better than this, Maxine knew he could. The problem seemed to be that he cared only to stand up to Brandon by putting up a poor show. Stefan dared not do anything more.

Come on, Stefan, stop trying to disarm him. Attack! Maxine thought to herself, watching with desperation as Stefan retreated further and further back down the platform.

Moments after she had uttered these words in her mind, Stefan's head jerked upwards to look at her with confusion, face riddled with puzzlement. And that's when Brandon took his chance; sneering in glee as he cast the leg-locker curse and sent his opponent falling stiffly to the ground. Professor Silvers readied herself to step in, but the duel hadn't necessarily finished. Stefan was still holding his wand.

But with an arrogant flick of his, Brandon disarmed his cousin and caught Stefan's wand as it flew forward in the air. Still pointing his wand at Stefan, Brandon stood above the boy in triumph and sneered;

''I suppose it slipped you're attentions that Hitler's little descendant here had a nice time in hospital?'' He asked the crowd, eyes still on Stefan. ''That he was there for a year?''

Professor Silvers opened her mouth angrily as the crowd gave gasp and Stefan turned chalk white. ''Kaine-''

''When he started raving about things he saw?'' Brando continued over the voice of the Professor. ''Ah yes, little Stefan here is mad. He sees things.''

There was a ''WOOOH....'' from Brandon's group of Slytherins, Professor Silvers' face becoming red with anger.

''Kaine! Stop this at once!''

The boy ignored her again. ''Stefan sees people change into monsters. Scary monsters that fill him with terror.''

Maxine felt as if icy hands were gripping her throat and beginning to strangle her. Stefan...Stefan. He was a grimm. Stefan was a grimm.

''Right! Detention for you Kaine. We do not need unpleasant little stories like this circulating at an educational duelling club!'' Professor Silvers pushed through the crowd and stood below the stage, gripping Brandon firmly.

The boy looked down on her with mock innocence. ''But Professor,'' he put on a hight voice, ''I'm telling the truth.'' Brandon trend back to Stefan, voice back to normal.

''All of it was real. And I fear for our safety, if a lunatic is living at the school.''

Professor Silers got halfway up the steps to the platform, ready to deal with the boy, but some one arrived there first. Maxine, heart filled with rage for this sneering, arrogant boy, was tearing up the steps to the platform, wand pointed menacingly at Brandon. With a quick slash of her wand he was thrown backwards in the air, with another he too was frozen. And final, with relish, she sent a curse towards him, and not just any curse. Brandon felt in horror as his nose became a tap of snot that began to run down his robes. Maxine, however, gave neither him or anyone time to react, muttering the counter-spell for the leg-locker curse hurriedly and dragging her friend from the hall.
