Brew For Burns

Chapter 4

Brew for Burns

Brew for burns is a nice little potion used for major to minor burns. When dropped onto burned area an icy sensation will spread and mend burned areas however there still is the possibility of scarring depending on how severe the burns are. To decrease the chances of scarring simply add in 1-2 extra sprigs of dittany.

Equipment Required
Standard Cauldron
Measuring Scales
Mixing Rod
Dropper
Knife
 Mortar and Pestle
        Ingredients
Snow
2 pinches Yeti hairs
3 scruples Dittany
3 drops Lethe River Water
1 dram frost flowers
3 sprigs Vervain

Note. Keep away from heat or the brew will be spoiled

1. Fill cauldron half way with snow and melt on low heat until all snow has turned to water. Do not let boil or heat water.

2. Swirl cauldron with clockwise with right hand while dropping 3 drops of Lethe River Water into the cauldron. Continue to swirl until the water turns a misty grey.

3. Stop swirling and reset cauldron. With the side of the blade crush the frost flowers into a powder being careful they do not melt.

4. Remove cauldron from heat and sprinkle the frost flowers into the cauldron and gently stir trying to avoid creating any whirl pools.

5. In a mortar crush 3 scruples of dittany and the vervain into a paste consistency.

6. Add the paste into the cauldron and let sit for 5 minutes, then add the yeti hairs.

7. Let sit for an hour.

The brew should be a translucent white color. However if there is a thin layer of ice over the potion or on your cauldron to much yeti hair or ice crystals were added. When using, using a dropper drop drop 3-5 drops on burned area and all burns should heal.
