Symbol of Perun (Thundermarks) - Perun was the god of warriors and thunder - he is one of the most important gods in the Slavic pantheon of deities. This symbol is supposed to provide protection against lightning and other misfortunes lurking on our way. Most often we can find it carved on houses. Some people associate this symbol with the solar cult and solar symbols common in Poland. The sign of Perun is also found in

'poor' version, more precisely in the form of a six-pointed star inscribed in a circle. Interestingly, this symbol in the form of a Podhale or Carpathian rosette can be found in the homes of highlanders.
