written by Jui Weasley

The first thing Ana thought when she met Remus- 'Look out, world!" WARNING: There are mentions of violence in this story. If it is a trigger, feel free to close this book. All credits go to J.K. Rowling except for my OCs. Please keep in mind that I do not support her views on the LGBTQIA+ community, as I am part if that community myself. Thanks for taking the time to read. Enjoy! :)

Chapter 40

This chapter is arranged in a different format than my other chapters, switching between the POVs of characters. I will not be stating whose POV it is before starting a new section, because I'm pretty sure it'll be obvious from the way I write it :)

TW AND CW: crying

(GENERAL SAD FEELING FOR THIS CHAPTER)

~…~…~…~…~ …~…~…~…~…

Opia - the ambiguous intensity of looking someone in the eye, which can feel simultaneously invasive and vulnerable

The feeling I got when she walked back into the room, watching me, pretending she hadn't been crying.

The feeling I got when we made eye contact, and she hesitated for a moment, as if to say something, before slipping into her own bed.

Toska - a dull ache of the soul, a sick pining, a spiritual anguish

The feeling I got when I thought of how much I had said wrong, how much he had said wrong.

The feeling I got when I thought of what was to happen, what I could have said to make things all better.

Cingulomania - a strong desire to hold a person in your arms

The feeling I got when I heard her breath hitch, holding in a cry of pain.

The feeling I got when I leaned away from the windowsill to see her face, lit by the moonlight.

Paroxysm - sudden outburst of emotion

The feeling I got when I thought of why he was acting like this, even why I was acting so defensive.

The feeling I got when I held the covers over my mouth so I wouldn't bawl like a 5 year-old.

Drapetomania - an overwhelming urge to run away

The feeling I got when I saw her shift in bed, hiding her pain.

The feeling I got when I stared out the window at the lawn and wanted to run away from the pain of it all.

Ik it's a small chapter, but this is like a dramatic build-up to to the next chapter (which will be much longer than this one).

THANKS I LOVE Y'ALL :)
