TW AND CW: mentions of scars

Ana paced around the room nervously.

"For Godric's sake, Ana, just go to bed!" Sirius sighed in frustration. "We're all worried, but we can check on him tomorrow!"

Ana glared at him. "No! He's probably hurt!"

"Remus'll be fine, An," said James soothingly. Then he checked his watch. "It's getting late. Let's take a nice, long, sleep, and then we can go to see him tomorrow, alright?"

James' voice was very calm.

"Fine," Ana grumbled. "I'm going to bed. Night."

She traipsed down the boys dormitory staircase and tiptoed out of the Gryffindor common room.

But instead of heading to the Hufflepuff common room, Ana snuck her way around the castle to the Hospital Wing.

"Alohamora," Ana whispered, and the door to the infirmary swung open. 

She tiptoed down the rows of beds until she caught sight of a tiny ball of light- Remus' bed.

He was sitting there, curled up in blankets, with the lamp on, still reading.

He turned his head up to look at her when he heard a noise and gaped. "What are you doing here? It's 12:00!" Remus whispered furiously.

Ana tiptoed to his bed. "Came here for your moral support. Why do you ask?"

"You should be asleep."

"You should too. Are you? No."

Remus rolled his eyes playfully.

"So what did she say?" inquired Ana more seriously. "Do you have any injuries?"

Remus shook his head. "I had a small fracture, but Madam Pomfrey fixed that right away. But not a single scar this time."

Ana grinned widely. "So this is working."

"I guess you could say that."

"Come here, you lump of adorkableness," Ana said quietly, stretching out her arms. "You need a big hug."

Remus leaned into the hug.

Ana went to sit on the bed and cuddle by Remus' side with blankets to read their book.

"Pride and Prejudice again?" asked Ana.

"The Hunger Games," corrected Remus.

"It's about food?" asked Ana.

Remus tried to hold in a laugh.

"No, An." Remus smiled. "We can read from the start."

He flipped to the first page and they began reading.

Madam Pomfrey bustled over to Remus' bed to check on him and give him his regular painkillers.

She stopped in her tracks, however, when she saw Remus and Ana snoring next to each other, book in hand.

Madam Pomfrey grinned to herself slightly. The painkillers could wait.
