What led to us leaving the refuge was the Mahzii. The Mahzii had perished eons ago, but the survivors of the Mahzii had formed into a small group known as the Triarch. They were the ones who had lived in their planet Kricket until the Tophykians attacked and they had fled to another planet - Yveas. Their planet was renamed Xidivar - meaning after life in the Mahzii language. 

The Triarch saved us. They brought us to Yveas, which had grown from a lifeless cold planet into a warm fruitful planet more than fit for creatures to live in. We would live there and treated the Mahzii as if they were one of us, as they treated us as if we were already part of their family. 

We forgot all about the refuge. It was abandoned, and was very likely that we would never go there again. 

The Tophykians found Yveas.

They destroyed the planet along with the Mahzii that lived on it.

The survivors no longer wanted to flee.

Centuries of fleeing, and now they wanted to fight.

The Cycrots and the Mahzii were powerful races, both brainy and brawny.

The Tophykians lacked brain, yet their brawn was unimaginable.

They say brains are better than brawn.

Not in reality.
