Dear reader,

I am very flattered that you have chosen my book to begin your study of magical self-defense. However, this is only the beginning of this long journey and this book only provides a brief overview of the topic. Here you will learn most of the basic forms of defense as well as some more advanced spells. However, it is important to remember that dark arts are constantly moving and changing, and so we must be flexible in the ways we protect ourselves from it.
