Chapter 6
Oliver told her he'd be right back. She nodded and as he left she took her wand out just in case. If Oliver was right, and he most certainly is, she had no chance against him either. One disarming charm and she's done. If only Colin hadn't fought with her. He'd protect her. She got up and started to pace wary of any sound. She flicked her wand every now and then which she did when she was thinking. She needed a form of protection and from the sounds of it so did Oliver. Again one name popped up. Colin. She just couldn't forget about him. Sighing, she flopped on the steps. She didn't have many defensive spells, only Curse if the Bogies. The only other thing she could use was her lying skills. And they were pretty good. It worked on professors, prefects, even adults. She was able to deceive pretty well. Charm people to get what she wanted. But if Oliver's brother was evil, he probably already knew all the tricks in the book. At least she could try. It wouldn't hurt. Unless he has a heck of a temper than forget it. She'd probably would get tortured. The Cruciatus Curse. Lily shuddered. That would hurt. But she knew how to protect herself.
Oliver walked back to the grounds. He was carrying a long case. When he got back to where Lily was he smiled. “I have got to show you something…” Oliver said sitting beside her. He opened the case. It was a guitar. This was his talent, aside from being a nerd if it was a talent, this was his personal talent. “My family gave this to me. At first I thought it was just a guitar for my birthday as a present. But before I left for Hogwarts my mum showed me this.” he said as he put his hand inside the guitar. It took a while for him to find what he was looking for. Finally, there was a small ‘Click!’ And what had been his guitar changed into a form of a box. He whispered something to the lock of the box. With another ‘Click!’ It unlocked. He opened the box, inside was a blue crystal with inside seemed to look like curls of black and white fog spinning around a glowing light blue part of the jewel. “This. This is the jewel. You can only see it because I showed it to you and I allow for you to see it.” he said to her. “Pretty cool right? he said. He closed the box and wispered into the lock again that locked the box and turned it back into a guitar. “Its unbreakable. A charm I think” he said. He got his guitar and began playing the song ‘thinking out loud.’ without singing of course. He wasn’t too confident that he could sing very well.
When Oliver came back, she smiled. He showed her the jewel. It was beautiful. It took all of her to not reach out and touch it. "It's beautiful. No wonder it's prized." she said with a smile. She had always liked jewels and crystals but this was one she;d never seen. Of course it is you ding-dong! His evil, psychopathic brother wants it.It's a prized possession!her inner voice whispered. First of all he didn't say his brother was psychopathic and second of all what person in this world wouldn't want that beautiful crystal she thought. Oliver had picked up the guitar and was strumming it. The music instantly relaxed her. Lily had always loved music. When she was stressed or sad or down she played music. It's what made her happy. Her happy place if you want to call it. She hummed to the music a little as Oliver played. He was good at it as she could here. He didn't miss any notes and And why the hell are you thinking about that now? You have more important things to worry about! His brother! Fixing your relationship with Colin her inner voice whispered fiercely. I'll worry about that later Lily thought as she continued to hum.
“Its late… they will be closing the doors soon. We better go back in” Oliver said. He placed his guitar back. He felt as though this guitar was his only connection with him and home. How he missed his mom and dad and sister. He pushed that aside. He should be happy right now. “I almost forgot…” Oliver said. He gave her a box. Inside, a minuscule crystal that was the color of the Gryffindor house. “My sister gave me this. She thought I was in Gryffindor. But I'm not so… its a gift for you” He smiled. He got up and together they walked up the steps to the castle. Oliver was tired. He wanted to rest. He looked back outside one more time. The moon shining bright over Hogwarts. It was the best night ever. Together with his stuff he was ready to go inside. But to none of their knowledge, someone watched from a far. “So the foolish boy took it with him…” said a scruffy mysterious voice in the shadows that they could not hear. “You will regret your choice of bringing that Jewel brother.” said Scorpius while walking out of the woods looking up at the large castle. A smile crawled across his face.
Lily nods and stands up. "Okay." She was happy to be with Oliver. Then Oliver gave her a box.Opening it she saw a beautiful crystal the color of Gryffindor. "Thank you, Oliver! It's beautiful." she hugged Oliver. She closed the box and took Oliver's hand as they went in. "Night, Oliver. I'll see you tomorrow." she kissed him on the cheek and waved before going to her dorm. She looked at the crystal one last time before hiding it in her trunk. She went over to her window and looked out breathing the fresh air in again. As she was just about to close the window she saw something by the forest. Probably an animalshe thought. Ah you think so. Could be dangerous...her inner voice spoke up. Oh shut up. Bother me tomorrow she thought bitterly. She climbed in to bed and drifted off.She started to have good dreams about her and Oliver. But it changed drastically. It showed Colin pointing his wand at her. She was begging for him to stop. Then the image changed to a boy that looked like Oliver. She woke up and turned over. Little did they know that danger was coming.
