I sat in my room reading a book when my dad came into my room and told me that there was a letter for me. I opened it and read: dear Miss Freeman, we are pleased to inform you that you have been excepted at Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry‘s. Please find enclosed all necessary books and equipment. Turn begins on September 1 and the Hogwarts Express Leaves kings cross station at platform 9 3/4 at 11 AM. I open the list and it read: three sets of plain black work robes, One black cloak with silver fastenings, one pair of dragon high gloves and boots, one standard size 2 pewter cauldron, one wand, one set of brass scales, one set of crystal files, one telescope, the standard book of spells grade 1, magical theory, a beginners guide to transfiguration, magical drafts and potions, 1000 magical herbs and fungi, The dark forces: a guide to self protection, a history of magic, fantastic beasts and where to find them. Students may bring an owl, cat, or toad. Students are reminded that they are not allowed to bring their own brooms. I couldn’t believe this was happening.
