“Why does father want to talk to me?” I asked

“I don’t know, he just wants to, he’s our father, who knows?” 

“Fine” I grabbed Thomas’s hand and he disappeared to where father was. 

The room was dark and it was only father, me, and Thomas but father made him go. 

“Father” I greeted 

“Y/n” He replied “Do you know why I wanted to talk to you?” 

“No, but I have my guesses” I replied 

“I wanted to talk to because recently you have impressed me with your… abilities, you are getting to be stronger and better then Mattheo”

“I see” 

“Yes, and I wanted to let you know that if you keep it up, you could find yourself joining the ranks earlier, possibly before Mattheo, which would be an honor”

“Of course” I nodded 

“Two more things. One don’t be stupid and try to kill yourself again. Two I want to talk to you more about your future and Theodore Nott”

“What about him?” I asked

“Someday you're going to get married, I would prefer if you married a boy who I approved of and after all, he soon is going to be a Death Eater as well. Just think about it, there is not a lot of choices your going to get” His tone had tuned cold 

“I will keep those things in mind” 

“Good, now you may go” He waved me away and I appararated back to my dorm in Hogwarts. 

Thomas was waiting there with Mattheo. They were on opposite sides of the room. Thomas looked up at me and asked, “What did father want?” 

“He just told me things you and I already know” I replied then went to the bathroom and washed my face. 

Mattheo poked his head in “That's not all he said, did he say something about Theodore” 

I looked at him “Why?” 

“Just wondering”

“Yes, he did mention him but it’s not important” 

“What did he say?” 

“I told you it’s not important because it’s something that's never going to happen”

“He wants you to marry him doesn't he?” Thomas asked, joining the conversation. Mattheo’s eyes widened and he looked from Thomas to me then back to Thomas.

“He wants you to marry him, my best friend?” 

“Yes” I replied, rolling my eyes. I pushed past them, and walked to the dresser to get pajamas.  

“Well if that's what he wants, he’s probably going to force you into some other marriage if you don’t do it” Thomas claimed 

“Well I am not interested in having a boyfriend, let alone a husband in the near or distant future or in any future” I replied 

“Do you want a girlfriend?” Mattheo asked 

“I don’t know” I threw my hands up “I never really think about relationships”

“Wait, do you have- did you have a crush on Indu?” 

“I never got to know her that much, or spend much time with her. So I don’t know. Yes, no, maybe. It’s complicated” 

“But do you like Theo?, your with him a lot” Thomas asked

“I’m with him a lot because I like to hang out on the astronomy tower and so does he. Plus he’s quiet and gives me space” I explained 

“Yeah, but he totally has a crush on you” Mattheo smiled 

“He does” Thomas agreed 

“It doesn’t matter if he likes me, it matters if I like him, and I like him as a friend, just a friend”

“So if you could marry anyone right now, who would it be?” Mattheo asked 

“I wouldn't”

“But if you had to?” He clarified. I didn’t want to marry anyone but if I could spend the rest of my life with my brothers, I would. Who needs a boyfriend when your brothers could take you to dances and my brothers were the best, we protected each other. But I would never marry them because I couldn’t and I wouldn't want to. Thomas smiled, he had been reading my mind. I blocked it so he or Mattheo couldn’t read it. 

“It was just a thought, be quiet” I told him

He smiled more “I didn’t say anything” 

“You just did” 

(Theodore’s pov) 

I was on the astronomy tower, and as always I was smoking. Enzo was on the other side of the tower, looking out at the stars and moon. He turned around and walked towards me “Why do you smoke?” 

“I don’t know, it just takes my mind off things” I shrugged 

“It’s bad for you” 

“Y/n tells me that too, I know it’s bad, there's just nothing else that could replace it”

“Do you and Y/n like together? You seem to spend a lot of time with her”  

“Uh… no, she don’t really want a relationship, she doesn't want a boyfriend” 

“And what about you, do you want to be with her?”

“Why do you have a crush on her?” 

“No, I mean she’s nice but I just like her as a friend. Do you have a crush on her?”

I laughed and looked down for a second “Sorta, but I don’t think it’s much of a secret, at least I know Thomas knows” 

“Well maybe someday” He put his hand on my shoulder “Give it time” 

“I don’t think she’s changing her mind anytime soon”

“Give her time, maybe a couple years” 

“I don’t think even that will be enuff time” 

“Girls, who can understand them?” 

I shrugged “No clue, sometimes I feel like they don’t even understand themselves” 

“Lots of weird stuff happens in your lifetime” 

“Tell me about it” I sighed
