Diary of a First-Year Hufflepuff
It’s me, Grace. I’m a first-year Hufflepuff who likes to write my day at Hogwarts. I hope you find my diary interesting and enjoyable and I hope that future generation first-years will also learn as they go, just like I did. Many of these entries are based on actual events happening in my life, but obviously I twist the stories a little to make them more magical!

Chapter 8
Dear Diary,
Hello from the dorm! Currently I am in the Hufflepuff common room after a long day of shuffling around the halls... and taking the mid-term exam for Charms. It was mostly just an essay, but a long one. I'm really nervous for my grade! And guess what - my herbology exam is also coming up soon! I'm extra nervous for that now. It'll be all about plant properties, spells, non-magical and magical, that kind of stuff. It feels nice to just get to chill in the dormitories for the night. Everyone is chatting about exams and other things. We even turned on the TV. Yes - the magical world has changed, people are starting to use TV's, and even MUGGLE DEVICES! Of course, what you'd call "muggle devices in the Wizarding world" is much more high tech and magical then the ones that Muggles use. Anyways, that's about it, I think I'll go chill with my 'Puff buddies, I'll write soon. Wish me luck on my exams.
