The British wizarding world's fears come true once again when Delphini, the daughter of Lord Voldemort and Bellatrix Lestrange, seizes the position of Minister for Magic to "make the wizarding world great again" by expelling Muggles, Muggle-borns, squibs and werewolves, separating them from witches and wizards. 58. A Flame That Never Dies

Chapter 58

Meanwhile, in front of the Great Hall, Pansy, Alyssa and two other followers of Delphini were cornering Lorenzo, pointing their wands at his chest, daring to attack him at any moment.

But for Lorenzo, defeat was not an option; his blue eyes were blazing with fire, one of courage and determination, as he glared straight into the eyes of the aggressors.

Lorenzo grabbed a Gryffindor flag nearby and held it in front of their faces, reminding them that he won’t back down, that he will fight, for the cause, for the people, for what is right.

Lorenzo was blazing like Helios, the sunset reflecting his golden hair as he stood fearless, proud and strong.

Pansy, Alyssa and the other two swished their wands at once. The four red lights from their wands hit Lorenzo right in the heart.

Lorenzo fell to the ground, grasping his chest, moaning in pain.

“Lorenzo!” Teddy shouted, running over to check on his friend.

Teddy and Seamus lifted him from the ground before rushing out of the Great Hall to find Madam Abbott.

The crowds were murmuring in horror and disbelief at the fall of their leader as Delphini stepped forward triumphantly.

“Lorenzo Santini is dead!” she shouted triumphantly.

Delphini’s supporters started cackling and cheering with joy.

 “NO!”

Everyone in the Great Hall turned around to see the source of the scream. Sirius was howling in despair, his face stained with tears.

The Great Hall fell sombre, except for the triumphant supporters of Delphini. Professors McGonagall and Flitwick, Hagrid, Molly, Narcissa, Fleur, Ernie and Scorpius were weeping silently.

Albus slowly stood up, his green eyes looking over at the mourning crowd.

“You know, it doesn’t matter that Lorenzo is gone,” he sounded more confident than ever.

The crowds looked at him, horrified.

 “Stand down, Albus,” Rose said.

“Lorenzo is still with us, in our hearts.” Albus continued, ignoring his cousin. “A wise man once said, “for the wretched of the Earth, there is a flame that never dies.” Lorenzo was our flame and always will be.”

“He fought for all of us! Lorenzo’s heart did beat for us! He didn’t die in vain!” Albus shouted, before turning to face Delphini.

“But you will!” he shouted, glaring at her straight in the eye. “How dare you stand where he stood!”

The crowds looked at Albus in awe. Professor Longbottom, Harry, Andromeda, Dean, Ginny, Luna, Oliver, and soon the rest of the Great Hall started clapping.

“The war isn’t over! We will fight!” Albus shouted confidently, addressing those on his side as well as Delphini’s. “Fight! Fight in the name of Lorenzo, our leader, the defender of the wizarding world! Fight in the name of brave Marigold! Fight!”

Meanwhile, in the hospital wing, Marigold slowly opened her eyes. Madam Abbott rushed towards her.

“Marigold!” Madam Abbott called, running towards her.

“What am I doing here, Madam Abbott?” Marigold looked around at the full beds, confused. “Who are these people?”

Before Madam Abbott could answer, Teddy and Seamus arrived at the hospital wing, carrying Lorenzo, who was still groaning in pain.

“Lorenzo!” Marigold immediately ran over to him. “Are you alright? What happened?”

“He was Stunned,” Seamus replied, placing Lorenzo onto one of the empty beds, while Teddy ran over to check on his sister.

“Goldie!” he hugged her tightly, choking up. “I was so worried about you.”

“Stunned by whom?” Marigold asked Seamus, still in her brother’s arms.

 “Delphini’s supporters,” Seamus replied.

Marigold felt a rush of anger, the memory of that day still vivid in her mind.

 “What’s she doing here?”

“She invaded Hogwarts,” Teddy replied, wiping his tears, finally letting go of his sister. “So we’ve been fighting.”

“I’m gonna fight too,” Marigold said.

“No,” Madam Abbott said, uncharacteristically sternly. “You just woke up from a coma, you need to rest.”

 “I feel alright.” Marigold protested.

“What if you get hurt again?” Teddy asked, his face filled with concern.

“I don’t care. I already fought Delphini and it’s my job to finish her.” Marigold stated firmly, before turning around; she started running.

 “Goldie!” Teddy called.

 “Marigold!” Madam Abbott added.

 “Come back!” Seamus added.

Marigold ignored them, dashing towards the Great Hall, her mind on one thing only - to finish off Delphini.
