Key Events

* Year Two offered all seven core classes once again, along with the introduction of five elective courses - Alchemy, Ancient Runes, Care of Magical Creatures, Divination, and Magical Art.

* This year saw the introduction of co-professors. These professors were hired to assist the main Professor, who was an HoH. Exceptions were made in some cases, such as with History of Magic.

* On 23/7, Professors Mae, Nivera, and Darkstorm decided to leave Hogwarts is Here, and deleted their lessons and assignments, clearing students' gradebooks for those subjects. There was a bit of a panic for the following few times, during which time the administrative team hired three new Professors to take over the courses, and swiftly re-write the materials. These were Professors Silvers, Batyaeva-Rubedo, and Prince. Professors Rubedo, Starfight, and Quilmane were then promoted to House Heads, joining Professors Balog and Black on the Senior Staff team. Professor Rubedo was later made Deputy Headmaster. After this, Professors Seaborn and Greenwich were hired to assist Professors Starfight and Quilmane.

* At the end of Week 3, Professor Aolen had to leave to teach Art at a Muggle University, and several Professors collaborated to complete the course. At the end of the year, Professor Rose Honeysett was hired to take the course from Year 3 onwards.

* At the end of Week 5, Professors Starfight and Seaborn were called to interpret runic symbols in Egypt, so left Hogwarts is Here immediately. Like with Magical Arts, several Professors collaborated to complete the course. Professor Mathilda Stevens was later hired to teach the course from Year 3 onwards.

* Professors Hunt, Devey, Quest, and Merila joined the team as Professors of Year 3 subjects Ancient Studies, Arithmancy, Ghoul Studies, and Muggle Studies respectively. Over the course of Year 2, Professor Hunt, Devey, Merila has to leave Hogwarts is Here, and were replaced with Professor Morgan, McKinnon, Douglas respectively.

* Mid-year, Professor Black taught 'Lit Week', a course in which the school studied all different texts of Muggle literature. This was a popular course, and was enjoyed by many as it meant a break in lessons for a few weeks!

* This year introduced a new platform, which was coloured to suit your chosen house. Mid-year, a beta platform was offered to Upgraded members, and for all on Saturdays, known as 'beta day'.
