She had no idea, but the goblins at Gringotts told her it belonged to her once she turned 11. So, she's pretty much loaded. She heard of her grandfather's magazine, the Quibbler, and heard of it's rivalry with The Daily Prophet. For the right amount of money, she bought the newspaper, and now runs the Quibbler and The Daily Prophet. She started the Quibbler and is always looking for takers to help her run the paper.
