The months passed by so quickly!  Everything was the same.  I hadn't gotten a reply yet from either mum or Tonks, every Saturday and Sunday I went "swimming" and explored more of the lake.  Every time I passed Draco, he always shook off his friends (two buff, stupid-looking boys), and catch up with me.  He'd always say the same thing.  "Has my owl returned yet?"  I'd always respond, "Sorry, but not yet.  I'll tell you when he does."  Then I'd walk away.

I'd always eat in the Great Hall, and whenever the first year Hufflepuff girls woke up in the morning, we'd play a fun   getting-to-know-you game until breakfast time.  We began to settle in and anticipated Halloween eagerly and happily. Finally the very day arrived.  

Halloween morning's get-to-know-you game was one at a time dressing up and everyone guesses who or what you are.  Sarah was a kitten (the purple eyes matched perfectly with the costume), Abigail was a veela (exceptionally easy), Rebecca was Dumbledore (we all fell to the floor laughing when we saw her beard), Hannah was a chocolate frog (the costume was real chocolate, and we ate some before breakfast), and I was you-know-who.

We ate breakfast very quickly, and I found that Tonks and mum had replied.  I immediately gave the owl to Draco, and pocketed both letters, because I saw Ginny leave the Gryffindor table early.  I followed her to the Gryffindor common room, and when she entered, told the Fat Lady the password.  She let me in, and I climbed up to the girl's dorm, seeing upon entering Ginny writing in a diary on her bed, and it was writing back!  I walked over to her bed slowly, and read the following words:

Tom, I am feeling a bit weird.  I think something's stealing my soul.  Tom, I'm scared!

Ginny looked up and jumped when she saw me by her bed.  I told her I'm sorry, and she started to cry.  Helpless, I put my arms around her, and closed the book.  Then I stood up and put it in her trunk without her noticing.  She finally apologized, wiping her eyes, half an hour later.  I told her it was fine, and I was the one that should be apologizing.

We stayed there, talking, until lunchtime, when we rushed to the Great Hall, giggling when ever we stepped on one of the steps that aren't really steps, just are an illusion.  Finally we got to the Great Hall, and Hannah walked up to me and said, "Where were you?  We played a really fun game in the library.  We pulled out random books and we couldn't help laughing at even the not funny at all covers, and we just couldn't stop!"

I told her that I was swimming with Ginny in the lake, and I wished I was there, because it sounded like a lot of fun.  After I had lunch, I went to explore the lake some more.  I knew I didn't have very much time, because I had to be back for the feast.  So instead I just watched two baby owls quarreling about a mouse the younger one found, but the older caught.

It was time for the feast!  I ran to the Great Hall, and saw the black-and-red-haired boys with a bushy brunette girl run the other way.  I pondered why they would want to miss the feast.  I went into the Great Hall, and I saw a marvelous sight.

There was live bats flying around the hall, four pumpkins (one in each corner) were there, and they were so big, three giants could fit in there, and the candles were floating like normal.  I gaped, and my jaws dropped open.  I finally regained my senses, and I walked to the Hufflepuff table.  Once I sat down, the table filled with more food I've ever seen in my life!  There was a blue-green drink, a peppermint humbug, chicken, turkey, and so many others!  I ate everything in reach, all except for the humbugs, and I saw Ginny's red hair flipping out of sight from the doors.  

Too lazy to follow her again, I finished my chicken leg, then, feeling rather full by the time dessert appeared, I left, too.  I had no idea where I was going, but I finally arrived at a chamber where a girls bathroom was (it was always empty because of a ghost that ruins it, Moaning Myrtle). 

 I saw the redhead and black-haired boy with the brunette come along this way, and we both crossed paths by the entrance of the bathroom.  We stopped and stared when we saw what was hanging by its tail, frozen, tied to a torch, looking into a puddle of water from the flooding bathroom.  Fitch's cat, Mrs. Norris.  We turned around, hearing a lot of voices, and we were soon surrounded by students.  The feast was over.
