The Third Day
Chapter 7
The Third day started out just as the 1st and 2nd had. I woke up at exactly 8 o’clock just in time to see everyone get out of their bedroom’s. I made French toast and Amanda Cooper and I decided on what we should do. We made a to-do list which looked like this:
EXERCISE
GO ON HIKE
GO TO PARK
GO TO SIX FLAGS
GO TO POOL
WATCH TV
At first I thought that we packed too much stuff in one day but when we started the day I realized that we could finish it. After we finished our breakfast Amanda and I decided to go to the gym and start our day. We did a one hour cardiovascular workout (like usual) and were super tired afterward. We decided to go on a hike with my step-mom and step-dad. It was a nice hike with beautiful scenery. When we finally arrived at the top of the hill we had been climbing for half an hour my step-mom,step-dad, Amanda Cooper and I all gasped in astonishment.
For right in front of us was the beautiful sight of Denver, Colorado with its rocky mountains and plains. It looked like a scenery that you would see in movies or on google. But it was real! The whole climb back we were talking about the view and how amazing it was that we were about to go the wrong path. After 20 minutes of talking about how surprised we were when we first saw the scenery we, only being ⅔ done with the climb, saw 2 pathways both having a sign. The first one said:
FOR PEOPLE HIKING UP
The second one said:
FOR PEOPLE HIKING DOWN
So we went down the second path and once again we gasped at the scenery.
For in front of us was a beautiful lake with mountains and colorful trees that was on the other side of the scenery we had just seen. We hiked down the ⅓ of the trail back with the subject of our conversation changing to the latter scenery we saw. After we finished our tiresome yet beautiful hike, Amanda and I decided to go to the park. As we took a nice stroll through the park. I saw the maple tree and I couldn't help but stare at the big lovely tree. After the pretty short but fun walk we decided to have a little break and watch some Disney Channel. After watching three episodes we decided to have some lunch so we got Subway and ate it happily. After having lunch we decided to go to Six Flags. So we all got in the car and drove to Six Flags. Six Flags was super fun, Amanda Cooper and I went on all the rides that we didn't go to the first time we went to Six Flags. At about 4 o’clock we decided to go back to the hotel. Once we arrived at the hotel Amanda Cooper and I decided to take our bathing suits and go to the pool. As I was getting my bathing suit ready I looked out the window and gasped again.
For outside my window was the greatest view I had ever seen. The sunset was just dipping below the horizon and made for a perfect picture. ANYWAYS...once we got everything ready for the pool we went to the sky blue pool. We swam in the pool for a while and even my step-mom and step-dad came into the pool. We had dinner in the pool (we took our dinner and ate it in the in-water cafe’) and stayed in the pool until 8 o’clock,the time that the pool closes. After the pool closed we went upstairs to take a shower and go to sleep. I had many gasps today from the beautiful scenery today but no scenery could have pleased me more than the one that I would experience at the end of the trip (tomorrow).
