Secrets on the train
Chapter 2
Draco's POV-
*Draco is approaching platform 9/4, he runs at the wall and is then surrounded by the steam of the Hogwarts express next to him. His eyes scan the station for any sign of Harry. He then feels a presence behind him. He turns around to see Harry.*
Harry: Hey.
Draco: Hey. Good summer?
Harry: Better than usual, you?
Draco: Dreadful as usual.
Harry: I'm sorry, lets go find a compartment and you can tell me all about it.
Draco: Oh- er..ok.
*They sit down in a compartment with Ron, Blaise, and Hermione.*
Hermione: Hi, Harry!
Harry: Hullo, nice summer?
Hermione: I can't complain. What about you?
Harry: Alright. What about you, Ron?
Ron: Me? Oh it was good.
*They dived into multiple conversations about Quidditch and summer and the Dursleys and much more. Draco looked at Harry almost the whole time, he didn't like sharing attention.*
Draco: So Blaise, what have you been up to?
Zabini: Not much honestly, this summer's been kind of boring.
Draco: Mhh.
Zabini: What did you do this summer?
Draco: Oh, just same stuff as usual.
Zabini: Oh, ok.
*A few minutes pass, Harry keeps talking with Ron and Hermione.*
Draco: I'll be back.
Harry: Where are you going?
Draco: Bathroom.
Harry: Oh ok.
*Draco leaves the compartment and starts walking to the bathroom, he reaches the door when a voice comes from behind him.*
Pansy: You didn't really think this was over, did you?
Draco: Merlin, not you. The last thing I need right now.
Pansy: Come on, Draco. When are you gonna stop this prank with Potter?
Draco: It's not a prank!
Pansy: Right, well whatever it is it needs to stop.
Draco: I'm sorry, what authority do you have over that?
Pansy: You know what I'm capable of, Draco.
Draco: Can you stop being deranged and leave me alone.
*She walks closer to him*
Pansy: Come on, Draco stop playing.
*She puts her hand on his cheek but Draco slaps it away. He looks at her with hatred and goes into the bathroom and locks the door.*
Harry's POV-
*Harry keeps talking to Ron and Hermione, but he is becoming steadily more worried, Draco hasn't been back for a while.*
Zabini: 'wonder what Draco's doing. It's been nearly half an hour.
Harry: Yeah, um, I'm gonna go make sure he's ok.
*He walks out of the compartment towards the bathroom, he knocks on the door, there is no answer. He knocks again, louder. A quiet voice says...*
Draco: Go away.
Harry: It's me.
Draco: Oh, sorry.
*Harry walks in, he sees Draco sitting on the floor next to the sink.*
Harry: What is it?
Draco: Nothing. Nothing, I'm fine.
Harry: Tell me what's going on.
*Draco sighs*
Draco: I can't talk about it here.
Harry: Well where can you talk about it?
Draco: *More to himself than Harry* I'll tell you tonight. You'll figure it out at some point, anyway. It's better you're prepared.
Harry: Why? What do you know?
Draco: *Ignoring the question* Tonight.
Harry: But- fine, ok. Where?
Draco: I'll figure it out.
Harry: Oh, ok. We should go, the others are getting worried.
Draco: Right.
*They walk back to the compartment, distant.*
