The gods haven't walked among humans for thousands of years but when they did they had favored families that they gifted abilities to. The 'gift' would depend on which deity had blessed the family, Vici being a war god would give them something to aid them in battle, while Aurea would gift them with plentiful harvests no mater how bad the season.
These 'gifts' are still present in select families but the stories of how they earned them are lost to time.


The gods aren't supposed to mess with human affairs, they can have favored humans or families or even kingdoms but they can't mess with them. That all comes to a head when Vici and his daughter Lesitey start aiding the group (Oh if you don't know who they are thats ok all you need to know is that one of them is from a favored family of Vici and has a gift) in taking down the current king of Mal. They don't reveal they are gods, they just slip them a key here and posses a mortal there.
