So, what is Gurdyroot? If you don’t know you didn’t pay attention in Potions class did you. Don’t worry I’m not as bad as my uncle… I don’t think… Gurdyroot is a plant. It looks a little like an onion and you plant it in the ground just the same as you would any other onion or garlic.

It is a NON-SENTIENT Green Magical Plant it has the taste of Bogeys according to various Weasley family members including Ron, George, Charlie, Bill and Fred Junior (I have to take their word for it). Luna Lovegood (now Scamander) says that it wards off gulping plimpies and her father used to make an infusion out of it which in my mind must have been disgusting but she says was a wonder to the senses.

Gurdyroot is found in potions such as the Love Potion Antidote I am careful around Love Potions in general, Gurdyroots, and Love potion Antidotes and onions (just in case).
