My amazing half-sister, Delphini was born to Tom Marvolo Riddle and Bellatrix Lestrange. She was born at Malfoy Manor, Wiltshire, England on the 3rd of March 1998 but I only found out about it in September/ October after Bellatrix had died and Narcissa and Lucius came out of hiding. It wasn’t the nicest thing to find out, in fact it was quite a shock to find out that I had a sister. Especially one that I didn’t really want. One by Bellatrix.

On the other hand she was also a welcome surprise because once I had gotten used to her and everything she represented I realised that she was partly a memory. This may be in both good and bad ways but a memory none the less. Bellatrix was a hugely important part of my life. She did terrible things to people I loved and she hurt me but she influenced my life a lot.

Not only that she was and still is a remaining fragment of my father that I had lost only a few months be-fore discovering her. I’m not sure if what I, what we did was right but I wanted to keep her with me. I wanted to do what I thought was right, to show her the life I had even when he was around.

Charlie was really good and took her in. At the age of 4 we took hold of her and she came to live with us. We did the same for her that my uncle did for me when I was young. She developed into an augury, which is a bird that foretells the coming of rain and is also known as the Irish phoenix.

Delphini I want to say this to you. I want to say that I love you, we all do. We wish you the Happiest of Birthdays. No matter what decisions you have taken what path you have followed I know who you are in my heart. You are my sister and we will get through this together. These traitorous months will pass and we will get you out of Azkaban. I promise.
