Trapped in the Library With A Tiger- Cora

Chapter 15
I almost screamed. But I was too shocked. But it did make sense.
Why Ms. El’fonte’s green eyes reminded me of someone, and how the tiger’s glowing eyes reminded me of someone too.
They were the same people.
Now I really screamed. I flipped around and ran toward the door. Why was the library so big? It took me all of twenty seconds to get to the door, but when I tugged on the handle, it was locked.
The tiger must have locked it.
So now I was stuck in a deserted library with an evil tiger that had stolen my best friend. Great.
I pulled my wand out of my pocket, trying to do a charm on the door. Not even a spark emerged from my wand.
“Are you too much of a coward to fight, Coraline Rose?” The tiger’s voice asked. It seemed to come from everywhere, echoing across the library.
“I am not a coward,” I snarled.
“Then come and fight, Coraline. Or was your little friend wrong- he was so confident that you would come save him.”
“Was?” I whispered. “W-what have you done with him?”
“He is...alive. Barely. Right now I believe he is starved, burned, and frozen.”
“You- you-”I growled a bunch of curses under my breath. Where was the tiger? A black spark shot out of my wand and ricocheted all over the walls.
Suddenly, I heard a surprised, “Ow!”
I peered closer at a wall and realized the tiger was in it, camouflaged extremely well. It’s hide could change colors. I had hit it’s eye with the spark, and it snarled the moment our eyes met.
Then it leapt at me.
I ducked, barely missing it’s claws, and shot a freezing charm at it. The jet of light bounced off but had a slight effect, and the tiger was frozen for a few seconds. Choco jumped out of my backpack, diving at the tiger and biting its tail. The beast howled and threw off my cat.
“Make me bigger!” Choco called desperately, struggling to get up. I pointed my wand at him.
“Expandamonde!” I cried. Slowly, Choco grew taller and taller until he was the size of a bike. That hardly fazed the tiger- it was the size of a small car, and suddenly the tiger grew too, now towering over us.
The tiger and my cat, both of the same species and yet so different, stared at each other for a moment with pure hatred.
Then they bounded at each other, snarling and scratching and biting. I threw a few jinxes at the tiger when I could. Suddenly, the tiger stopped fighting, trembling instead. I froze, too. Had one of my jinxes hit it in a vital area?
