Then he gave me a note and told me NOT to read the note. I respected this so I didn't read the Note until today. What a HUGE mistake...... This is what is said.... Chapter 1
I stood at the table, brushing my loose strands of hair out of my face. This was it, I took a deep breathe and Pressed the random number generator.

37

I went to the list Dray had sent me, looks like 37 was Olimione.........

Hermione walked down the empty Hogwarts halls. She needed to get to the Library, she was curious to find out how time-turners worked. Her life was Books, Books were EVERYTHING, Knowledge was everything. As long as she knew enough, she would be safe. She would be Smart. Professor Lupin was teaching Harry how to cast a Patronus. She didn't think it was fair that Professor Lupin was teaching Harry and Harry only how to cast a Patronus. But a little voice inside her head whispered to her,

"He faints at the sight of them, He Hears his Dead parents calling out their last lines before death"............

She felt guilty when she thought of it. Harry needed to learn the spell, She wanted to learn the spell. Hermione took a deep breath and sprinted as quietly as she could to the library. It was past curfew, hours past curfew. But she needed to know. And who was she to deny herself a bit of knowledge?

When Hermione got inside the 1st thing she noticed was the sound of crying and sniffling. Though she would never admit it, That cry seemed cute to her. So she got up from her chair and walked over to the sound.  The crying stopped suddenly,

"Who's there?" A boy, Hermione thought. Why would a boy be crying, in all places, a library?

The voice was quavering, It would have sounded scary to Hermione had the quaver wasn't in place.

"Umm.......Hermione, Hermione Granger" She told the boy hesitantly

The voice answered back, this time without the quaver, surprised,

"Granger?" Hermione knew that voice, it was her crush of 3 years

"Oliver?" she gasped as a Oliver stepped out of corner he was hiding in. He looked a mess, his Dirty-blonde hair was sticking up in all direction, his eyes were puffy and red, and tear tracks were visible on his cheeks.

"What's wrong Oliver" Hermione asked gently

Oliver was about to tell her that it was nothing, then he spotted what she was wearing. Hermione was wearing a vest top and tight jeans that showed off her figure quite nicely. Then words spilled out of his mouth, unfiltered.

"You're looking quite nice Hermione" He said awkwardly

But Hermione took that the wrong way,

"Are you saying that it's wrong for me to look nice?" She asked. The way she said it made it sound like a statement, but Oliver could see the hint of sadness in her eyes.

"No...NO" Oliver said quickly, in truth, Oliver had always had a tiny crush on the Muggle-Born. She was so smart and knew anything about everything. He had wanted to date her, but she was only a first year when he had noticed her, but now she was a 3rd year so......

She was FREE game....

Oliver patted a spot next to him and gestured to Hermione. Hermione smiled and sat down  besides him, her knee touching his.

Oliver took a deep breath,

"I just learnt that my elder sister, Brother in-law and Nephew just died"

Hermione was silent, so Oliver took that as to carry on.

"They....Th-..They  died in a freak accident" Oliver sputtered out

"You see, My sister worked as the Minister of Muggle Regulation" At Hermione questioning look, he said, "She was head of making sure New muggle inventions don't kill or severely injure a Wizard or someone apart of the Wizarding World."

"The only one who got out of the accident was my Brother in-laws sister, Annabelle."

"From what Annabelle told me in her letter" he gestured wildly to a piece of parchment near Hermione's boot. She could just make out the words Annabelle Vance.

"The Muggles were Arguing with Annabelle. So they told her to call Matthew and Jennifer, My Brother in-law and my sister, and of course, Anna didn't argue."

"Matt and Jen came as quickly as they could, they had to take my nephew, Jackson. Jack was only 2 months old, so it took sometime for them to get there" Oliver told Hermione

"The Muggles grew angry and when Matt, Jen, and Jack finally got there, they dumped a pile of hard rock on them, I believe they call it cement."

Hermione was horrified, why would they do that to 3 innocent people? She wondered what happened next....

She hadn't realized she had spoken out loud until,

Oliver looked at her, "Jen and Jack died almost immediately, St. Mungos hadn't even arrived. Matthew had died just 2 hours ago. Annabelle got some minor injuries and a knock to the head, but she'll be fine"

"I'm so Sorry Oliver" She whispered

"It's....Not your fault Hermione" Oliver whispered back, assuring her that it wasn't her that killed Oliver's sister and family.

Oliver then reached over and pulled her over to him and kissed her. Full on the mouth. Hermione was shocked, she had never been kissed before, but she kissed him back. Oliver grinned at her and she smiled back.

What was supposed to be a simple trip to the library turned out give her a new Boyfriend. But she did learn something,

Books aren't everything.

I closed my eyes as I finished typing the last sentence. It wasn't as long as I had hoped it to be, but hopefully it would meet Drake's expectations. I groaned, I was going to have to do this tomorrow too. I dreadfully finished typing and published the Chapter, dreading tomorrow.
