A Pure-Blood is a Witch or Wizard with no Muggle ancestors

A Half-Blood is a Witch or Wizard who has both Muggle and Wizard ancestors

A Muggle Born is a Witch or Wizard who has only Muggle ancestors


In real life, probably the only real Pure-Blood is J.K. Rowling, as she created Harry Potter.

To compute this, I consider anyone who reads Harry Potter a Witch or Wizard.




This is all pure speculation and an answer I came up with that I think seems cool. You don't have to accept it, of course. This is just how I view it.


You're a Half-Blood if at least one of your parents has read Harry Potter.

You're a Muggle Born if neither of your parents have read Harry Potter. (This means that most adults are likely Muggle Borns)

A Squib is a person who has only watched the movies and isn't obssessed with it, or they've read it and aren't in to it. They've had contact and knowledge with the Wizarding World, but aren't in to it, and treat it like a normal series.

A Muggle is a person who has not read or watched Harry Potter.
