Chapter 2 - The move
Chapter 2
The Carter family moved to America, it was hard for all of them. They all came out of the airport, it was boiling and they were wearing their jackets. "God," Mimmi said, removing her jacket in putting it into her purse. "It's so hot here!". "Yeah!" Evie said, ripping her jacket off.
"Honestly, have we moved to the sun?" Jack exclaimed. "Give your Jacket to me Evie" said Elizabeth. Evie threw her Jacket to her mother. "I'll go bring the car" said Dan. He walked to the car and drove it back to Elizabeth, Mimmi, Evie and Jack. They all got into the car, Mimmi looking outside the window curiously. They went to they house, the furniture was already there. "Woah!" said Evie. "We all have separate rooms!" Mimmi exclaimed. "I don't have to share a room with Jack the deadly!" Evie shouted. Jack shrugged Evie. "Glad you like the new house!" said Dan. After they unpacked and watched the movie together, they all went to a cafe. Dan was about to order ten biscuits, when an American man came to him and said: "Ten?" he asked. He showed Dan his biscuit. "You from Britain?" he asked. "Biscuits in America are these things that look like buns, so careful before you buy that" he warned Dan. "Thanks!" said Dan, he ordered five teas instead. The family sat together and enjoyed their tea.
