A Chinese Fireball was used as one of the obstacles in the First Task of the Triwizard Tournament in 1994. Viktor Krum faced the dragon in an attempt to retrieve a Golden Egg it was guarding, and used a Conjunctivitis Curse to temporarily blind the dragon, but it crushed its own eggs and because of that points were taken off.
