~Amber's pov.~

We quickly pack and check out. We hurry into the Volvo and head to his aunt's house. He stops me when I get out. He kisses my forehead. "I'm going to go now. I'm going to come back. Don't worry." I hold in my tears and touch his cheek. "I believe you." "I love you always and forever." "I love you too please be safe." He kisses my forehead again and swings away. I rush to the door. I knock.

"Amber?? Where is Peter??" May asks as she holds Vivian with her bag in her hand. "H-he has something to do. So we split up for a while." "Oh. Well, she was very good. Weren't you Vivian??" Vivian smiles and her eyes go pink. I thank May and put Vivian in the back. "Vivian, daddy had to go fight..." I know or hope she will understand. "So it's going to just be us for a while." She giggles and I smile. I zoom to the Avengers Tower and go inside.

It's empty. I go to the kitchen and grab a cookie and a bottle of milk. I feed Vivan and myself. We go to the couch and I play with her. Her eyes change to blue, pink, purple, and back to pink. I lay her down in her crib I set up in the living room and we both fall asleep.

~Time skip to after the battle~

I hear people coming and so does Vivian. I grab her and turn on the lights. I see only half of the Avengers. Dad looks sad and so does everyone else. I see Thor, Tony, Dad, Nat, and a few more. I keep looking for Peter. Tony comes forward and puts a hand on my shoulder. "Amber..." "Where is Peter??" "H-he..." "Tell me!!" I yell. "He's gone, Amber!! He is gone!!" Tony yells back and breaks down into tears.

I start crying holding Vivian. I sit on the floor with her crying my heart out. "H-he isn't gone!!" I yell and Nat hugs me. "I'm so sorry, Amber. We tried all we could but he got all the stones and snapped his fingers..." I cry harder and wish Peter was here holding me and Vivian. Nat holds me as I cry. I finally get up and hand Vivian off to Nat. "I need some time to think..." "Of course..."

I run upstairs into Peter's room. I find his sweatshirt and take a deep breath to remember his smell. I cry into it and soon I fall asleep from it. I wake up from Dad carrying me. "Dad??" I croak my throat raw from crying and screaming. "Yes??" "Is he actually gone??" "He is..." "He said he would come back..." "They always say that..." That makes me cry again. I get out of his arms and see Nat holding a sleeping Vivian. She hands her to me. The days fly by and it's all the same. Crying when Vivian is asleep, screaming from nightmares, Vivian learning to talk, and having her first birthday.

Every second I wish Peter was here. I also changed. I dropped out of school fully now. I stopped finding a job after Vivian was 6 months old. I cut my hair to the point it's shoulder length. I bring memories of Peter smiling into my mind all the time. The Avengers then get word that Thanos used the stones again on some other planet. Vivian walks over, a new 5-year-old, to me. "Mommy when is daddy coming back??" She asks in her little sing-song voice.

She asks this every day. "Someday, baby. Some day." She smiles at my answer and I swear she has Peter's smile. "Go to aunt Nat for a while ok??" She nods and runs after Nat. "Auntie guess what mommy said this time?!?" Nat looks at me. "What did she say??" "She said daddy is going to come back someday!!" "Oh. That's amazing!! Want to watch me train??" "Yes!!" They walk away and I head upstairs. I go to my bathroom and grab the counter. She needs to stop asking that question every day!!

I splash my face with water. I go back downstairs and see Dad. "H-hey." "Hello, Amber. What do you need??" I swallow. "I need to find a way to bring Peter back to us. Vivian and I." "I already told you there is no way!!" "There has to be!! Go find Bruce and drag him back here so we can figure something out!!" "Amber, we don't know where he is!!" Please!! I need him!!" He sighs and nods. "Ok...we will find him just watch Vivian." "I will." He hugs me really quick and heads off to get the remaining Avengers. I see Vivian eating crackers with Nat.

"Vivian..." I whisper in her ear and tickle her. She giggles and squirms. I lean against the counter next to her. "Can mommy have one??" She nods and gives me one. I kiss her forehead. "Thank you." "Now you own me one thing!!" She says excitedly. "Oh, yeah. What is it??" I ask and give Nat a look. Nat is going to pay for this. "You need to tell me what day daddy is coming home from his trip!!" I stand there stunned, I didn't expect that. I can't unfreeze and my locks down. My breathing speeds and soon turns into gasps. Vivian starts crying at my state and Nat is trying to bring me out of my trance. I'm stuck. I can't move. My vision goes wrong all black and white. I see the floor coming to me then I realize I'm falling. I hit the floor hard and pass out.

I wake up to Vivian crying. I sit up and my head spins. I see that I'm back in our built-in hospital. I am shocked again because Tony is back!! Also Bruce!! Well, Bruce actually looks like the hulk but him at the same time. Odd. Vivian hugs my waist as soon as she climbs on the bed. I hug her and kiss her forehead. "How long have I been her, Vivian??" She starts whimpering. "1-week mommy. I thought you were dying!! Is it my fault you got like that??" She finally cries. "No baby!! Mommy just had a lot on her mind and couldn't escape it. You did nothing wrong!!" She nods and hides her face in my chest.

I look up and see Tony there. "Are we getting Peter back or what??" "Well, I figured out time travel and we tried it on Scot but we need to upgrade it a bit. But yes we figured out a way to bring him back." I smile and cry. Tony pats Vivian's head and kisses my head. "You ready to get him back??" "I was born ready!!" Vivian looks at me in confusion. I shake my head but smile at her. "You ready to get daddy back??" "Daddy?!? Yay!! Daddy!!" I laugh and she giggles.
