Chapter 3
Rowena was the smartest and wisest woman of her time. She is also very creative. According to a legend, "Hogwarts" got it's name after Rowena dreaming of a warty hog that led her to a cliff by a lake.
People even had the idea that Rowena produced her own wand, which may be true.
Although Rowena is disciplined and tough; She was also gentle, loving, and forgiving. Rowena's forgiveness to her daughter confirms this thought.
Ravenclaw house generally has the same features; "Ravenclaws possess the attributes of intelligence, wisdom, intelligence, intellectual ability and creativity. ... Students at Ravenclaw are known for their extraordinary intelligence, as well as their individuality and acceptance of people and things that others would consider odd."
Also, since Rowena had a lots of muggle-borns in her family; she didn't agree with the idea that only pure-bloods should be allowed at Hogwarts.
