So far, this book has only talked about Luna, and her point of view. So, in this chapter you will learn how Luna's peers reacted to her, and the way that they treated her.

    Luna did have friends at Hogwarts, but she had very few. Of course, the DA helped her to make friends, but most people still either chose to ignore her completely, or be a jerk to her. People obviously knew who she was, because they started calling her "Loony Lovegood" behind her back. A lot of people chose to just avoid Luna, and make fun of her with their friends.

    Not even the people who claimed to be Luna's friends tried to understand her. They would be nice, and at least talk to her. But, even they mostly avoided doing so, to prevent confusion. 

    Luna is seen as being very strange, and unorthodox. Although, when you think about it, it's very hard to be considered strange among Ravenclaws. She deserves credit for that.
