Ancient Art
Chapter 1
Tommi and Chad loved ancient Rome, their friend John told the about the new museum opening. "It's all about Roman art and literature" he had said. Tommi urged Chad to go with her, "fine, but who will take us?" "My parents! Come one! Lets go ask!"
Tommis Parents said yes and a day later they walked up to the Museum, it was HUGE!!! They had five hours to look around. They passed disturbing statues on their way in. They learned the Museum was also a hotel! Tommi and Chad where ecstatic! They paid 30 dollars and headed to the elevator.
They passed large maps of Rome, as well as a section on Roman Government. They decided to go into the literature section before art! They saw an old book made by Romans in the corner. A small plaque next to it read "Roman literature was greatly influenced by Greece."
They learned more, then went to buy some grilled cheese's and sit down to lunch. They ate for 45 minutes then went to the art section. It was crazy! There were busts, statues and painting everywhere! There was even a piece of the coliseum! And it was HUGE!
In reality it was tiny but not to them. There was a bust of Alexander the great, but he had spread greek achievements! What was he doing here? I turned out that Rome respected and admired Greece, so when they over powered them they copied many of their styles. Tommi and Chad had never known this.
