Who doesn’t enjoy looking at a gigantic 3 headed dog?

Most people when they look at Fluffy (yes that’s his name and yes of course he has to have a name) see a gigantic animal, about the same size as a fully grown mountain troll, with three heads large teeth and an enormous amount of drool coming from each one of the heads.

What people like Hagrid, Charlie and most other people that work with Magical Creatures see is a cute fluffy puppy (hence the name) obviously still with three heads but immensely smaller, a lot cuter and are fixated on, what actually is possibly the most important part of animal husbandry and maintenance.

In Fluffy’s case this is how to “tame” the beast. In Fluffy’s case sending it to sleep is the important part. That is done by simply knowing that, like many creatures, three headed dogs enjoy music. They are not overly particular as to the style of music either although I have heard that classical and musical theatre have been his preferred styles over the years. One-time Hagrid tried heavy metal and it didn’t go down too well although he did do some fairly good headbanging to the Weird Sisters.

In my second year I heard that Harry, Ron and Hermione found their way onto the third-floor corridor where Fluffy was “keeping watch” shall we say. Idiots is all I will call them.
