Please stop petting the test subjects
Chapter 1
"Ladies, how many times do I have to tell you, please stop petting the test subjects!" The scientist said sharply.
"Ugh what a witch" Laura whispered, as she continued to pet the bunny.
"Shhhhhh! I think she heard you!" I giggled. The scientist, Dr.Müller, gave Laura a nasty look.
"If looks could kill" Gracie said jokingly. Laura stuck her tongue out and closed her eyes, pretending to be dead. Me and Gracie laughed. A little too loudly.
"Girls! Enough nonsense. Quiet down, Dr.müller is explaining the experiment. Oh for goodness sakes Laura! Stop petting the bunny!" Mr. Jacobson said. as he walked away, Gracie whispered in my ear.
"I think he has a crush on that science lady!" she said, as Laura doubled over in fits of silent laughter. Mr. Jacobson had been talking about this field trip for weeks.
"Dr. Müller is a very qualified scientist, and we are very honored to be invited to watch the experiment. As you all know, Dr. Müller will be running test on bunnies, observing their brain waves in different environments. I expect you all to be on your best behavior and represent our schools ideals; honesty, loyalty, kindness, and attentiveness." Mr. Jacobson had said that morning, before we got on the bus to the science lab.
And right now it looked like he was in heaven staring at the scientist. I guess she was pretty. She was very tall and slim, with her dark auburn hair pulled back into a tight bun. But it was her face that weirded me out. Her eyes were so dark brown, I couldn't see her pupils. And her nose was very pointy. Her skin so smooth and clear, winkle free, that it gave me goosebumps. I don't know why, but she seemed almost too perfect. there was something very weird about her.
As i stared at the scientist, she pressed a button on a remote. I heard Laura shriek. I figured Gracie had said something funny and Laura meant to laugh but screamed instead. But her squeal turned into a blood curdling scream. I looked over at her and saw that the bunny she had been petting, had razor sharp fangs, and was digging its fangs into her arm, its red eyes narrowed in malice. Hold up- red eyes! I began to panic. The scientist's face began to melt, revealing a robotic face underneath
"How many times do I have to tell you. Do not pet the test subjects" she said wickedly.
