Renaming Harry Potter Characters: Part 1 (Entertainment)

Renaming Harry Potter Characters Part 1

I was reading an interesting fact the other day about how Dean Thomas’ original name was Greg. I was thinking about renaming characters, so that’s what I’m going to do!

Harry = Ethan - Meaning: Hebrew for strong. Ethan is a popular name as well.

Hermione = Alvie - Alvie is a English female baby name. It is a short variation of Alvina. It is a trendy little name for girls which means wise friend which is basically Hermione summed up. Also, Alvie is an unusual name, like Hermione.

Ron = Joel - The reason I chose this name is because it’s still a bit unusual like Ron but still a bit mainstream. Also, there is this red headed kid in my year called Joel so yeah.

Ginny = Rosa - I was thinking of fierce females for this name. Rosa Diaz from Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Rosa Parks the activist.

Luna = Liviana - Yes, I know it’s similar to Luna but Liviana Lovegood has a nice ring to it. And keeping with the moon theme, Liviana means white moon.

Neville = Leo - For some reason whenever I think of another name for Neville, I think of Leo. Leo means lion so maybe that’s why.

I hope you enjoyed this, and maybe you’ll pick up “Ethan Potter” later. :)
