Muggles - History of Muggles and their Treatment (Part 2)

It has always been that Muggle-borns have been treated differently. From being called “Mudblood” to just being judged by purebloods. When Hogwarts was first created, Slytherin's founder, Salazar Slytherin, wanted only pure-bloods to be at Hogwarts like a lot of the other magical schools did. When Voldemort took control of the Ministry in 1775, Muggle-borns were required to register with the Muggle-Born Registration Commission. There was also a lot of propaganda which claimed that Muggles stole magic from the “real” witches/wizards. The Ministry continued to promote Mudbloods and the Dangers They Pose to a Peaceful Pure-Blood Society. People could also be punished if they could not prove to have wizarding heritage for this alleged action, which would lead them to a sentence in Azkaban.
