“Pansy, who is that?” A boy asked. I had been sitting in the public compartment of the Hogwarts Express waiting for my brother and sister to finish speaking to our parents, staring out the window. At the sound of the voice, I turned my attention to whoever was talking, glancing out of the corner of my eye to see who had spoken. It had been a boy who was tall, dark-skinned with high cheekbones and long, slanting eyes.
“No clue,” A girl who has dark brown hair, a hard face, and is probably about 5’5 replied, shrugging. I guessed that she must be named Pansy. I had seen her glance at me oddly when I first got on the Express.
“Why don’t you ask?” I asked, turning to face them.
“Because I don’t associate with Mud-bloods,” The girl answered coldly while the boy just studied me.
That did it. No one calls me a Mud-blood. My eyes flashed and I stood up, “You don’t want to mess with me.” Something flickered in the boy’s eyes.
“And if I do?” The girl smirked.
“You shouldn’t mess with me,” I continued, ignoring her. The boy’s eyes widened, recognition flashing on his face.
“Why not?” The girl rolled her eyes.
“Pansy don-” The boy began to say.
I cut him off, “‘Cuz if you mess with me, you’re messing with my family.”
“And who ar-” The girl started.
A male voice from behind me interrupted her, “There you are!”
I turned to see my siblings, walking swiftly towards us. I grinned, “Took you long enough to finish speaking to mother and father.”
“Speaking of mother…” My older sister said, handing me a velvet bag. “She wanted me to give you this.”
I opened the box and found the necklace my mom used to wear. It was a silver crescent moon with a blue jewel that glowed. “Thank you, Talia,” I smiled, gratefully.
“I guess you’ve already met Pansy and Blaise,” My brother sighed. “I should have been the one to introduce you guys.”
“Draco!” Pansy exclaimed, “Who is this?”
My eyes flashed once again, “You were bout to ask me who my family is. This is your answer.” I gestured to my brother and sister.
“You’re a Malfoy?” Pansy exclaimed. “Blaise, why didn’t you stop me?”
“I tried, once I saw the resemblance…” Blaise trailed off.
“Who did you think she was?” Talia cried.
I collapsed back into my chair knowing that Pansy was about to get what she deserved. Both my siblings were protective of me ever since I was little and the school incident happened.
When Pansy didn’t respond Blaise spoke p, “Pansy thought that she was a mud-blood and called her one to her face.” Pansy began to glare daggers at him as he slid out of this seat and came to sit across from me.
‘YOU CALLED HER A MUD-BLOOD?!” Draco spat out in disgust.
“I’m Blaise Zabini,” Blaise smiled and put his hand out.
“Malfoy. Lyra Malfoy,” I met his hand and we shook hands.
“This is bound to be interesting, “ Blaise grinned nodding to my brother, sister, and Pansy. Talia and Draco were both fuming with anger, with looks of disgust on their faces.
I laughed and agreed as we turned our attention back to the three of them.
