Review Essays

Review essays are both unnerving and difficult. They usually require a summary of the past eight or nine lessons in that particular course and do need pretty extensive information to get 90% and higher grade.
There are some general rules when writing any kind of review essay:

-Add pictures if it says you can - this interests the grader and makes your assignment stand out more.
-Match the volume of your description of the lesson information a little less than the actual lesson's volume of information - in other words don't make your writing quite a detailed as that of the lesson but include most of the info.
-Format the essay colourfully and with style. It will stand out more to the grader.
-Include lists and bullet points and also long information paragraphs to summarise

With review essays, often how easy the task is depends on what sort of student you've been on the course. There are a couple of methods you can use depending on your circumstances:

Method One:
(For 'obedient" students)

If you were an 'obedient' student, then you will have made notes on the past lessons of the course. If this is so, then you don't have much to worry about. You see, by simply altering your notes and reformatting them a little, you can create a moderate review essay. I say moderate because this depends on the detail of your notes:

If you made extensive notes: No need to worry - by changing the wording and formatting slightly and adding extras, you can get away with only a little work and usually achieve a good mark as well.

If you made simple notes: Get your basics laid out and revisit the lessons to elaborate those notes. Also re-format and add to your notes and of course, reword the information.

If you wrote one-liners: Present these one-liners as bullet points and then add to them after revisiting the lessons.

Method Two:

(For the 'I just want to get this done' students)

Bullet points and short information paragraphs are best for a rushed review assignments. You must revisit the lessons, however, and have them open in one tab whilst writing. Copy the information in your own words and add pictures and colourful formatting. Work on the assignment after assessing the lessons and do it all in one go rather than leaving it. That way it's done as soon as possible to get a good mark.

Good luck with those review essays! I hope this chapter helped those choosing this option for the review assignment/s they are tackling.
