The Girl of Ink & Stars
Skylar Rose Diggory. My nickname Sky suits me. I love the stars, the sky, and well the universe. I was named after my mom's sister. Her name was Sky-Rose and my dad's uncle, Skylar. I got my letter at the age of 11 to attend Hogwarts. My family had been preparing me for the day that I would get it. My aunt especially. She was living through me almost. She hadn't gotten to go to Hogwarts until she was 15. She had been sick when she received her first letter and when she was well again her brother, Cedric died. Or at least that's what everyone thought. ANYWAYSSSSS, her story is called Always. If you want to read it. It was my fifth year and surprise! Turns out I have a brother. A LONG LOST BROTHER. Who I go to school with. Who I did not know was my brother until well this past summer. And now I have to deal with Slytherins too? Boy, I need an instruction booklet on how to live a normal life.

"He's my stepbrother. Not my real brother. His mom and my dad remarried," I sighed, touching the gold pendant hanging at my neck. My mother had passed away a year ago and this pendant was the only thing I had left of her. A tear slipped down my cheek but I quickly brushed it away.
"What's his name?" Ava demanded.
"Decter. Zach Decter." I shut my eyes, bracing myself for her reaction.
"ZACH? LIKE THE ZACH?!" Ava exclaimed.
I just nodded. Zach Decter. He has brown eyes, brown hair, that's usually cut short on the sides with extra length up top and it's worn parted over to the right. He is 5'8 and has a scar on his forehead. It's just a small straight line and isn't super noticeable unless you were close to him. He has a pale complexion. Could be described as cute and cuddly, like a teddy bear, the opposite of his house.
"Oh nooo. I'm so sorry, Sky,” Ava said giving me a hug.
“It’s fine. At least we aren’t related,” I sighed, looking up at the clouds where I longed to be flying, freely. I have had a crush on Zach since we were first-year students. Then I came home for summer break and what do I find out? My dad remarried, ZACHS MOM. Hence the reason I went to stay with my aunt. I was mad at my dad for not telling me about it and mad at Zach for being related to my new step-mom. Even though I knew it wasn’t his fault. He had been equally surprised at the announcement when he came home to find me standing in the doorway with tears pouring down my face, anger in my eyes, and my dad yelling at me to let go of the past. I had run past his surprised face and hopped on my broom leaving for my aunt’s house. As I flew away I could hear him raising his own voice at our parents as my dad tried to call after me.
“ANYWAYS… Are you ready to see the new kids?” Ava asked, grinning.
“I need to talk to Quinn about what prank we are going to pull on them this year,” I grinned, pulling my hair from the messy bun it had been in and letting it hang loose. Quinn was one of my closest friends but a Slytherin. For our past 5 years at Hogwarts, we had played pranks on the first-year students, earning respect from all of the houses. While Quinn was a Slytherin and I was a Hufflepuff, we made a great team. I was able to get us out of situations with my innocent charm and Quinn made some great plans on how to get our pranks to work.
I heard voices coming closer and motioned for Ava to be quiet. The voices were close to our tree now and I made out the voice of Zach and two other Slytherins.
“Guys, this is Sky we are talking about,” One of Zach’s companions said. “She’s a Hufflepuff!”
“Nah, she’s a slytherpuff,” The other one argued.
My eyes flashed and I jumped down from my perch before Ava could stop me, landing right in front of the three boys.
