When remotes learn to fly

Chapter 2
It happened again.
I had just got home from school on Friday and was going to watch TV while I waited for mum to get back from work. I was looking around for the remote, and saw it sitting on the shelf. Before I could even step towards it the thing lifted a few inches into the air. I slowly looked to the left. This ridiculous little floating remote literally followed my gaze. I looked at my hand. The remote shot towards me and stopped just above my hand. It hovered there for a moment and then fell lightly into my palm.
I stared at it for a moment.
This wasn't average, that was fairly clear.
So what was it?
A super power?
Nuh-uh. Amanda Figg wasn't a super-hero. She was a normal girl with a boring life and this was probably just some dumb result of her imagination.
An imagination that somehow got this remote into my hand and has been happening for the last seven years?
I needed Sam to reassure my sanity.
If anyone could do that.
