Enchanted details #3: Barty Crouch’s wife being sick
Hi readers! Today in our enchanted detail we are seeing why Barty Crouch’s wife being sick is so important.
To refresh your memory let’s see what happened. Mrs. Crouch was sick, so sick the healers had told her she would die of the illness. Not long after Barty Crouch Jr. was sent to Azkaban, for helping the Death Eaters. Barty Crouch Jr. was sentenced to death, for his crimes.
His mother however couldn’t accept it. She loved him so much, even after what he did, unlike his father. She begged her husband to let her put a secret plan, and he finally accepted because he loved his wife very much, and because it was her last wish.
Mrs. Crouch drank a Polyjuice Potion to look like her son, then she sneaked into Azkaban, and replaced him. Later on the Dementors killed her, leaving the real Barty Crouch Jr. alive.
If his mother hadn’t been sick, his husband would have never let her sacrifice herself for their son. And we all know what would have happened. Dementors would have killed him, making him unable to be Alastor Moody, no Portkey to Voldemort, Cedric stays alive, Voldemort doesn’t return... etc, etc. Basically Voldemort wouldn’t have been defeated, because he never came back in the first place!!
Of course there's also the variable that he chose another person to pretend to be Alastor Moody. But if he didn’t, then he never returned! The whole plot line would be RUINED!!! Wow! Harry wouldn’t have found the Deathly Hallows. Many of our favorite characters wouldn’t be dead! Dumbledore, Fred, Snape, Moody, Tonks, and so much more!
