Always

written by Echo Jayden Hart

Sky Diggory. That's the name. Diggory? Like Cedric Diggory? Yep. I'm his little sister. Always falling into the background as my brother becomes more and more popular. Because of my sickly state when I got my letter at 11, I stayed at home, and mom and dad taught me to control my magical powers while Ced was away at Hogwarts. Only saw him again during the summer then he was gone again. Stories about school came to me by owl and I read them with jealously then sent a letter back. I loved my brother don't get me wrong but I was sick of him being in the center of attention while all I had was Bolt, my Patronus, an Irish Wolfhound, and our parents. I had 2 friends. My teachers didn't like me for some reason. Okay, I'll admit there is a reason. Livius and I were always casting spells while everyone was supposed to be studying. WE WERE STUDYING! Just not what the teachers wanted us to be studying in class. I was good to go to Hogwarts while Cedric was in his fifth year but what does life do? Throws another obstacle my way. Yay...

Chapter 10
“Okay, I’m fine now,” I said, sitting up. I was in a dorm room with Nova, Hermione, Luna, Livius, Scott, Harry, Ron, and DrACo? I blinked again. Yep. Huh, that’s kinda odd.
“You sure?” Hermione asked.
I nodded, “Yep. I just got a flashback-”
“Or five,” Scott muttered.
I rolled my eyes, “Or five. But seriously, I feel fine.”
A knock sounded at the door and Ron walked over to answer it. A girl's voice said, “Can I come in?”
Ron turned to us, who were all staring over at him trying to figure out who was at the door. “It’s Pansy.”
Draco began to open his mouth to speak but Luna and Harry beat him to it, “NO.”
“Why not?” Draco asked.
“Did you not see the way she was glaring at Sky in the Great Hall at dinner?” Hermione exclaimed.
“Sorry, Pansy but no,” Ron told the girl at the door.
“But-”
Ron shut the door in her face, “Draco you can deal with her.”
Draco sighed and stepped out.
“I have a question,” I said.
“What is it?” Livius asked.
“Why is Draco here? How did I get up here? And what time is it?”
“One question, huh?” Nova laughed.
“Draco insisted on coming up and making sure you are okay. Judging by how worried he was about you we doubted that he would pull any tricks. Surprisingly he and Harry have been able to get along since what happened after dinner,” Luna explained.
“Livius carried you up here,” Nova added.
“He did?” I asked, raising an eyebrow.
Scott grinned, his eyes twinkling with laughter, “He did. Bridal style.”
“You’re kidding!” I exclaimed. I had never seen Livius carry anyone. Not even his little brother. I glanced at him to find his face beat red. “Embarrassed are you Everglen?”
That resulted in a pillow to my face, “Shut it, Diggory.”
I laughed, “Does anyone know what time it is?”
“7:06 pm,” Harry responded.
“Anyone up for a movie?” I asked.
“I would but I have a lab in Potions tomorrow that I have to study for,” Ron sighed.
“What’s the lab on?”
“Cure for boils,” Ron, Harry, Hermione, and Luna responded in sync.
“That’s tomorrow?” Draco asked, coming in, again.
“That’s easy,” Scott muttered.
“I can give you some pointers,” I offered.
“No offense Diggory but you just got here, how would you know anything about it?” Draco said.
