Unexpected mail
Chapter 1
"Ophelia! Come down stairs you got something in the mail!!". "Coming mum! I'm nearly dressed!".
I ran downstairs in excitement of what may be in the mail. And it wasn't your typical mail you get everyday...
"Here , open it. I didn't want to snoop in your mail." Mum laughed , "I- Mum.. I don't know what this means." "Well dear what does it say?" I read the paper to her, it said I was excepted in a school of wizarding and wizardry called "Hogwarts." "Ophelia , this is great! Your father was a wizard , I just never told you." My dad died before I was born from cancer , even though I never met him , I miss him.
"This makes you a Half-blood my dear , you can do magic! Except I am a muggle which means full human so I do not have magic." "Mum , I'm confused, I thought I was just a normal girl, from England who will grow up to have a normal job and a normal family." "You Ophelia are better than normal , you are special, gifted! You will start school at hogwarts tomorrow, im so excited!" "Why are you excited , I thought I was going NOT you." We shared a laugh. I went back upstairs and did my work. Mum home schools me so it's not like I would be leaving any friends.
