Deathday of Sir Nicholas de Mimsy-Porpington
Today, Halloween, is also the death day of Sir Nicholas de Mimsy-Porpington, or as most know him, Nearly Headless Nick. He is the Gryffindor house ghost. He was nearly beheaded on October 31, 1492. But, the axe was too dull and even though the axe hit his neck forty-five times, it did not entirely decapitate him, hence his nickname.
Let’s all remember what a great ghost he is!!
