Essay #2

Chapter 1
In no less than 275 words describe to me the two spells learned in class this week (the Verdimillious Charm and the Revealing Charm). What is a situation in which you would use each of the spells? There will be no penalty for going over the word limit.

This week, two new spells were introduced: the Verdimillious Charm and the Revealing Charm. In this essay, I will be describing both.

First, let's start with the Verdimillious Charm. This is one spell, that can be used for different purposes, with different methods. Evene though the pronunciation is the same, which is 'vur-duh-MILL-ee-us', the movement of the wand is what makes the difference. The first version of the Verdimillious I will be explaining is the offensice version. In this form, the tip of your wand shoots out green sparks, which will then fly at your opponent and explode in their area. The goal of this action is to let your opponent feel a bit of a stinging sensation, which will let you either flee, or cast another spell (and with that hopefully win the duel). The wand movement that is required for this version is a forward slash, ending with yoou pointing your wand at your opponent. Remember to point your wand with caution, because in that exact way, the green sparks will fly!

The other version of Verdimillious is an illuminating one. In this form, a green light will shoot out of your wand, shoot up towards the ceiling and explode in a bright flash, colored green. This light will cause the possibility for you to see an outline of any object that has been concealed by Dark Magic. The wand movement required for this version is to wave your wand in a circular moton over your head, not pointed at anything in particular. Remember to move quickly, as the light created will only last a short time!

The next and last spell that was taught to us this week, is the Revealing Charm. There are two versions of this spell, but only one will be explained in this essay, as it was the only one taught to us. It has the purpose of revealing any hidden text on any object to you. This spell only requires you to tap your targeted object and say 'ah-par-EH-see-um'. How clear the message you are uncovering is, depends on the amount of willpower you use. The more willpower, the more readable the text becomes to you. This spell can led to two different outcomes. The first option is that it will reveal nothing at all, probably meaning there is no hidden text to be found on your target. The other option is that any hidden message will temporarily glow purple and reveal itself for approximately five minutes. Remeber to read quickly, or else the text might dissapear before your finished!
