Celebrating Samantha Love
This was Celeste Evergreen’s idea, and I, Lucy Peña, helped her with it. We told some of the members to write a thank you note to Sam, our founder! This was supposedly to be shown in the HDN 100th issue party, but many people didn’t come, including Sam. We decided to make it an article. Thank you Sam!

Dear Samantha,
Thank you so much, not only for being a wonderful founder and boss of the HDN, but for also being a great friend. I am so thankful that you created the HDN, which I have to say, in my opinion, is one of the best news companies on HiH! You are such a hard-working, smart, kind, and wonderful Ravenclaw. I cannot believe it was only a couple of months ago when I first met you. I wish I could meet you in real life, and I sometimes wish that the HDN could be a real job for me (that I could get paid for hehe)! You make working at the HDN so much fun. You have kept us alive (hehe) through the summer and school year. I love being part of a family that is so much bigger than myself! It may seem like we are only co-workers to you, but you are much more than that to me and to the members of the HDN. You are a great founder and friend and you have been there with every single one of us through our journeys in the HDN. So again, thank you so much for creating the HDN, being a wonderful founder/boss of the HDN, and seeing my potential and helping me on my journey. :)

Dear Samantha,
You've been there for us when needed. You brought the HDN to life throughout the holidays and you continue to bring it to life during the school year which resumed for most people.
So I would like to say thank you for allowing so much happiness in us. We all love you a lot Samantha.

Dear Samantha,
How can I put my gratitude for you into words?! You created the HDN, and kindly introduced me to it. You have helped me all the way, since I didn’t know what HDN was, to now that I’m co-manager. I appreciate all the work you’ve done for me, more than words can describe. I admire you so much, so, so much, and see you as a mentor. You have taught me many things, and with no doubt I can say today that my life wouldn’t have been the same without you. I have grown very fond of you. You are always there for everyone, if it’s with a question, an article, a suggestion, everything. You have truly created something magical, and I will never forget you. You are an incredible person, a kind, caring, smart, helping, amazing person. Thank you so much, for being there with me, every step of the way.

Samantha, you have helped me so so so so much to get into the HDN.. first you got me into the interns group, then got me promoted where I am now, and you helped me as a writer in HDN so much..you never got tired of my frequently asked weird questions and answered them in complete detail.. I always wished of being in HDN, and you made it come true…
