Hello. My name is Alice Jones Erudite, daughter of Luna Lovegood and Rolf Scamander. I am 9 years old and so happy to be here at Hogwarts. It was the afternoon of July 23, when my dad went to go check the mail. There were two letters. One for me, one for my sister, Luna. The letter said we were accepted to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. We were so excited, we were practically screaming. On August 31, we headed to Diagon Alley to find our wands, uniforms, pets, and books. On the letter it said, “FIRST YEARS ARE NOT ALOUD THEIR OWN BROOMSTICK”. We were disappointed because we were hoping to get a broomstick. On September 1, we went to London to get to platform 9 and 3/4. When we got to Hogwarts, we were sorted into Gryffindor! We were so happy because the sorting hat was putting a lot of students into Slytherin. We had flying lessons and we were able to get into Quidditch! I am hoping to be Chaser, and Luna is hoping to get Seeker. In October, those who signed up will either get in or will have to try out next year. As I’m here in the Gryffindor Common Room, I am learning more about myself and making new friends. I haven’t missed any classes, and I’m going to continue not to.
