Understanding, and Acknowledging

Chapter 4
Many people say that they have friends who know them like their own mind. That’s great! Well, I’ll tell you the truth. I have amazing friends, and I know amazing people, I have an amazing family, but they don’t completely (or even partially) understand me. Am I supposed to feel that there’s a person who can understand me completely? No, you don't!

Having a person who can kind of understand you is amazing! But, deep down we truly know that there isn’t a person who can understand every thing about us. We may have amazing friends, that we have so much fun with, that we really care so much about, but can they understand everything about us?

In my personal experience, there isn’t someone who will understand you completely. But do we actually need someone to understand us? Or the only thing we need is acknowledgment? You know that’s the trick! What we seek may not be understanding, but acknowledging. Think about
it. Do we want other people to understand our situations? Because understanding doesn’t mean that they’ll do something. What I think we truly seek, is people acknowledging what we’ve been through, what we have accomplished, what we feel, who we are.

The difference between acknowledging, and understanding is that when you acknowledge something it means you appreciate it, you admire it, you feel something towards it. When you understand something it just means you know what happened, it doesn't mean at all that you, or your work is going to be admired, appreciated, acknowledged.

So, we may not understand someone or what’s happening to them, but we can acknowledge, or appreciate their efforts. Because, life is like a battle. You don’t know where someone has fought their battles, how many, how intense, and if they have won. But returning to the last chapters point The warrior inside everyone has fought battles, so we may not understand The battles, but we acknowledge that they have fought them.

Well, that’s all for today! Remember that if you have a certain topic you would want to discuss you can owl me, you can also give me your feedback, and comments! I hope you truly feel inspired by this. I post weekly chapters, so stay tuned for more A better life ones coming up! Good day!
